Hi just having 10 minutes on here as a reward for getting stuff done :D I've tidied the bedrooms, cleaned the bathroom, sorted out the bathroom cabinet, hung two loads of washing on the airers upstairs, put away yesterdays dry washing, hung a towel load on the line, done the ironing, sorted DS3 an outdoor PE kit out for cross country tomorrow & hoovered downstairs. Just got to make the pasta bake then I'll have a quick read of the paper before I go to collect my Mum to take her shopping......

Please will you come round & do half of that to my house? Pretty please? :p

    Morning all:wave:

Weezl - congrats on the birth of fergus. :T Followed your thread for months now and it's truly inspiring

Beth - Congratulations on your new granddaughter :T

It's rainly and cold here today and I can't face doing much at the moment. I seem to have had no energy for the last couple of weeks. Prior to that i was running around like an energised flea getting loads done. Might go out for a walk and get some oxygen inside me, see if that helps. Then I'll get a beef stew in the slow cooker and get the washing on the radiators to dry. After that I have a press release, article and survey to write for a client.

This afternoon, hubby has promised me that we will put some cupboards from our new (read new to us!) kitchen in the blank area where my old one used to be, as I can't deal with having to store my shopping in plastic bags on the floor anymore. It's been nearly 6 months since he ripped my old one out with the promise it would be done 'in a couple of weeks'

Grrrr...men. "can't do A before I do B, and to do B I need to do C. But then E and F need to be in place before D.....that means I have to make a special trip to B&Q, but I have a job upstairs I need to get some X for so I have to measure up that so I can get everything from the shop at the same time, but I can't find the tape measure...." ad infinitum

Not too sure what will be happening food wise today as I have woke up and am loaded with the cold, my throat feels like I might be swallowing glass or something...............not good!

Anyway must be off to start on my list. Will pop by later to see how you are all doing and update with what I have done.

  • GGRR - The IT gremlins are def. at work today - I wrote my usual essay and went to post it but it disappeared - and I hadn't copied it 1st!

Congrats to the new grannies & mummy's etc.:T

Very little OS got done last evening, as I was so tired when I got home from wo*k that I fell asleep! Luckily DH woke me in time to get ready for my badminton, but no time for tea before I went so I was starving when I got back! Took painkillers & anti-inflammatories before I went and they seemed to do the trick - still some pain in the foot afterwards but at least I can put my heel to the floor today, so that is progress! Got so fed up with not exercising and it not getting any better for being rested (GP told me complete rest for 2 weeks would do the trick, but 4 weeks later = no improvement:eek: )that I am going to work out my own way of managing the pain now.

At least DH (bless him!) put on some washing while I was out, even if he did tumble-dry it rather than put it on the radiators as I would have done:rolleyes: . He also fixed himself the leftovers from the roast for his supper (as per my menu-plan which I have now stuck to the fridge:j !), and I had a 'greek salad' when I came in.

NO COOKING tonight as it is our anniversary DH is taking me out for a meal!!!!:D
Just hope I won't have swollen red eyes, as I have an appt with the counsellor this afternoon, and I seem to cry a lot at them

Steel....I think we may be living with the same man!! My OH has been asked for ....oh around 7 months now...to shelf our bedroom cupboard for me and give it a fresh coat of paint after a wee spell of dampness! Finally, we made some progress at the weekend but only after several trips to several DIY stores to make sure he was buying the right stuff for it! Now correct me if im wrong but i would think it was just, bracket + shelves and bobs your uncle...apparently not! im guestimating that it will be finished by about mid 2012

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello:Hello!

I have been missing in action for a while now, well after feeling unwell and getting used to new meds, coming off them because they made me worse, then more new meds, I am now having to slowly but surely do a catch up on the laundry and ironing mountains! Mr C :Ahas been looking after me brilliantly but I guess some fellas never see the mess unless you point it out to them and I hate to nag so I have had to chill until I could get back on my feet!

Anyway I just had to come in and say huge Congratulations :beer:to Weezle (He is totally beautiful) and the Bethebees dd (up and doing the washing so soon! wow!)

I have yet to catch up on the threads so ((((Hugs)))) all round for now.

    Catz x
