    Most companies have fees for cancelling a policy, with Flux they will deduct a fee from the cancellation credit and 19% (Their commission) as well.

    Just went online this morning to onlyinsurance.com and got a quote back of £1245 with an excess of £600 what do you guys think about it im not sure whether it is good or not becasue of the large excess please help well i rang them and all my details were correct just that it was a online discount so it came to £1384 with abit of hagling and mentioning other quotes managed to get it down to £1324.

    Look at the size of the excess compared to your Flux quote, thats a lot more to find if you have an accident.

    If you can get Flux down (You could use this quote to do it) and they keep the £350 excess it would be better for you.

    P.S Which company have onlyinsurance quoted you

    Thames City Insurance but when i rang them they changed the quote to £1384 becasue they said it was online discounts which put the price down to £1245 but i will give Flux a ring and tell them i have had a cheaper quote and if they can keep the excess but match them ill sign

    Just rang Thames and spoke to someone else and they will be able to do the deal of Excess £600 = £1275.31 for me over the phone but yer that Excess is abit high i will continue looking

    It will probably work, say you have been recommended by a friend and would rather use Flux than anyone else. They may match it of go part the way but any saving will help.

    P.S Thames City are a broker not an Insurer

    More Than's Drive Time is only for 18-25 year olds who don't often drive between 11pm and 6am, otherwise the cost is prohibitive. The price is based on a fixed charge which depends on where and how much you drive, calculated by a free GPS device that's fitted to you car.

    MoreTh>n Drive Time = £1181.30
    £98 a Month
    £300 = Excess
    Third Party Excess = £50
    Windscreen = £60
    Unlimeted courtesy car
    Included Legal Cover

    Cost Extra for Breakdown will go with AA

    More Than are a pretty good company (They are owned by Royal and Sun Alliance), do they still do the policy where they put a monitor in your car and charge ou for the miles you drive as this can be cheap for young drivers

    Good point about the Pay as You Drive, may be worth trying www.coverbox.co.uk no idea what the rates are like but it is pay per mile, I read some of their marketing blurb when they launched and young drivers are supposed to be a target market for them. The website says that Allianz and CIS are on the panel.
