That just shows how irrisponsible and dangerous people really are there really needs to be behaviour and physcic tests you need to pass to be able to drive simply knowing the rules of the roads is not enough if you drive at mach 3 with no regard for others

Well said, I'm impressed you have the foresight to invest time and money in Pass Plus, it does make you a better driver and the Insurers like it because of that and it indicates you are likely to be a careful driver as you have gone to the trouble of doing it.

Like I said once you get your first year out of the way your premium will drop massively. To give yourself an incentive run a quote through the comparison site with your age being a year older, your car being a year older and a years no claims bonus and see how cheap it will be next year. It will really cheer you up.

You have an excess of £75 for windscreen claims, £100 for Fire and Theft (The voluntary excess might also be on top of this and then an excess of £250 for accidents due to your age for accidents and a further £100 voluntary excess for accidents so £350 total excess for accidents.

Thats a fairly low exces for your age and the premium.

Which company did they quote you with

    They normally do use Highway.

They get 19% commission from Highway which is a lot (Most brokers only get 10%), have a look at your quote it probably has a £50 fee added as well.

If you ring Flux up and tell them you have a quote of £1260 from Quinn Insurance with the same excess but you would rather use them and if they say yes you'll take cover out today they will probably come down to around £1260.

Sounds like a good plan just want to let you know I haven't actually bought the car yet just looking at the moment no need to buy a car yet as live next door to work so would be a waste of money just looking for now but hopefully if i get a new job this would be very helpful just trying to get all runing costs down for the car since insurance is always the biggest sore spot but yer i will ring flux up and tell them that or when the time comes and they have disregarded my old policy i will just take a new one out but i will tell them i got a better quote from quinn and see what they say.

I was worried you already had cover and were going to cancel it as Flux have some seroiusly high cancellation charges
