Incidentally, you can now do SAR’s with Experian and Equifax online for £2 each paid for by debit/credit card. This must be a relatively new option as it was not available around a year ago the last time I checked mine. I could not find any online statutory option with Call Credit - just the usual hand over piles of money to see your own data on a monthly basis option. If anyone knows of an online statutory option for call credit, please let me know.

For Experian, it's quite well hidden but if you persist, it can be found. direct link.

The Equifax option is much easier to find. direct link

Is this just not a link to check your credit report?

It is just for your credit report, unfortunately.

    Thanks for the information though.

    No.

It could be viewed that way. It contains links to check your credit reports with the two major CRA's. It has links in it to order your credit report for the statutory £2 online instead of sending cheques off through the post (there were a lot of earlier posts about this). The same links can be found directly from the Experian and Equifax sites.

Ah, apols - re-read and see you are talking about getting a SAR through Vanquis. I was thrown by the mention of £2.

That's an intersting thought. I've always thought of a credit report from a CRA and a SAR from a CRA as being equivalent. Ones a lot cheaper than the other, that's for sure. What information would a CRA hold about me other than what is contained in my credit report*?

*leaving aside historical archived material and of course good ole National Hunter....*
