    I got that for Christmas! Haven't had time to read it yet, but the couple of bits I've picked out look really good.

    Alfie - I'd love some eggs, but not just now, but soonish when I have enough other eggs to do a load in the egg cooker! But I'll but 'em off you or swop?

    Great day here - Loch like a glossy mirror & off for yet more sea weed - good stuff is sea weed if you have access to it- do my veg beds every three years with it - hens love picking over it for loupers & bugs.

    Grrrrr! and more Grrrr!!!:mad::mad:

    Someone threw a couple of bags full of unpleasant rubbish into our field last night/early this am, but despite knowing a name from receipts inside, I'm no further forward in getting in touch to return it. I really didn't want half a Dundee cake, assorted bags of dog faeces, plastic bottles and beef bones, nor the outlet hose for a tumble drier. Stuffed into that was a brand new black sack, like the person meant to bag it all up for the dustman, but maybe missed him? He was here this morning at 06.00, same as usual.

    So, heave it over the hedge......except that one has to know the road very well, because that's the only place where there are no trees.....and it was dark and foggy....and that place is on a dangerous bend.

    There were no tins at all, just lids, and the dog poo in bags shows that the person is normally conscientious, so at the moment my mind is pretty open on this. There were a few white bags like that awaiting the dustman at 9pm last night. What if someone who doesn't like us picked them up and 'relocated' them?

    This person who owned the rubbish is new here, because she's not on the Electoral Register, but she shops locally for expensive meat and was also in Regent Street last July buying fabric in Liberty......

    'Curiouser & curiouser!' :(

    DAVESNAVE.... it really makes my blood boil when people can go to the trouble of bagging something but not the bother of disposing of it legit ??
    i saw a porsche driver in the lane near me chucking bags of garden waste in the ditch [still in plastic bags] !! i stopped and asked them to get it back and take it to the dump...or was he too posh to go there ?? he said it was garden waste therefore it didnt matter ! i then gave him a long "chat" on poisenous, non native craaap not being envoiromentally friendly plus the plastic bags ! i proceeded to retrieve the bags and fling em back in his car !! he threatened to report me and i told him to go ahead !! i took his number after he stormed off and gave it to the police for fly tipping...... iv seen him around since and im sure he recognises me....

    A blooming nuisance, Dave :(
    As it's on your own (private) land I think you have to report it to the Environment Agency - not totally sure but think that's the case. Unfortunately, you're responsible for clearing it up but the EA may be able to advise on how to go about making sure it doesn't become a regular event - particularly as you have address details.
    It could be that the woman isn't the one who actually dumped it but she is responsible for making sure she deals with her own refuse sensibly - maybe she put it out last night & some bright spark thought they'd play silly b*ggers :(
