alfie, seriously PLEASE take care of yourself. depensding what they have put you on presription wise I quite like alcohol as a muscle relaxant....a back in spasm is no fun ever, and neither is getting out to feed critters with it. I keep a few spares of a 'script for days when booze won't do.
Is it all the carting around that's done it? Mines been twinging the last few days but not going...thank goodness. I'm visiting another MSE chum on friday and going for what I hope will be a long walk in the woods with energetic children and don't want to be hobbling too far behind!
We've done christmas gifting today....the pears are in the ground bar the one who has concrete where its hole should be, he is in a BIG pot. We'll get the frame in this week I hope and start training the few shoots on to wires. we have put an electric heater in the bathroom so we can have a WARM room to bath in and will be disappearing in there for a couple of hours later, when its well and truely warm through, and then I'll do everything a woman should do and smallholders who live in cold old houses don't.....salt scrub, get properly embalmed in body cream and shave my legs without the threat of a skirtI might even paint my toenails....unless the back twinges

actually after my venture into the "upstairs" world last week i actually quite enjoyed the wine they were dishing up,having not really liked it before [vodka and mix person when i occasionally let loose] so you may read in the nationals about a major wine haul going missing....or i could go to a taster somewhere so's i know what i do like for future use....0 -
Tomorrow my friend is doing the critters in the morning, so dh and I can have a lie in. It has to be one of the most thoughtful gifts EVER and she wouldn't take no for an answer (her MiL is staying at her house
).
I wonder what time we will eventually wake up?0 -
Actually, it was just too difficult to tackle both hen houses today, as DW's back went (there must be something in the air!) so tomorrow, rain or shine, we'll be giving the chooks the Christmas clean they should have enjoyed today! :rotfl:
I will be cleaning the beasts out tomorrow too

I'm a long time lurker and dreamer of this thread, have to say it's my favourite on the whole site! Sadly for me any sort of day dream fund is a real challenge as I'm still a student getting into debt so I like to live vicariously through all your lovely posts :rotfl:
Just want to wish you all a merry christmas and hope alfie's back gets better asap. Keep up the posts, pics and videos, they're brilliant :jLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
merry christmas fellow DDF'ers, may santa bring you all everything you hope for xxx0
