    :)

This is less fun. This year we have broken:

the petrol hedgecutter (iut started leaking petrol yesterday, DH uses it ALL the time, as a strimmer/brush cutter, as a hedge cutter, for weeds....) (plus lost the charger for my diddy hedge cutter), the strimmer, also leaks petrol, but dh hates it as the silly plastic stuff isn';t up to much, the lawnmower...the petrol one went just after servicing when the pully bit frayed and ripped...I' told this is replacable so we still have the mower, and the electric one just went kaput a few weeks a go. The mini hover we were gifted, saw our grass and cried. I'm asking my dad to bring his hover every few weeks, the hot air gun...it was older than me though. A hoover, dh and the landrover, three wheelbarros, two brooms, a fork handle and a spade handle. about a dozen bolts on my neighbours topper (uneven ground snaps the bolt as a safety), two panes of glass in two different windows. a pair of secarteaurs. five hippo bags (we love these, use them for poopicking, and alfie gave us two and they are in good use, one just going on the base now) two very lovely terracotta pots :( The boiler. Two feed scoops, four buckets, and the dog's leg.

There must be more. Its a wasteful and expensive business this house doing up and small holding. Thankfully spirits are not broken yet!

LOL, I forgot about 40 electric fencing posts, which we are using almost as disposables....you remeber the REALLY old horse, she's been around long enough to know shocks aren't fatal and are often worth it, so charges through every now and then.

I grow four leaf clover! Generally I think we're pretty lucky, but the contingency fund is, um ''low'' if you phrase it optimistically now, and the equipment we needed was lots, let alone replacing stuff. :) But, things happen. We'll get through, just we'll look a bit scruffy for the rest of the year.

DH is out playing with his flame trower thing, I set him loose on the yard which looks really scruffy with weeds now.

Oh and RAS, we found three wasps in the hive today, cheeky raiding things. They will NOT be back. :D:o

The town closest to you was where I got my 25' cedar greenhouse 23 years ago. Let's hope yours is a similar bargain. :)

poop, didn't get the greenhouse. Alfie, I can't make the chooks homeless! I'm going to keep my eyes out though.

Problem is there is so much we need all the time, lol. Greenhouse probably comes below lawn mower atm!

Its freezing again today and the wind is back to moaning and keening.
