    I've been Money Tipped!
The most beautiful morning of the year so far here. Sky white at the bottom and pale, etherial hot day beckons blue at the top.

And the rain cometh tomorrow...its my fault with that bloody hymn innit? Why at weekends when dh is home to graft?

been a glorious day here too,

managed to pick up 3 more pallets ready for the winter....thought i would start getting wood while it is still summer, as come september/october people will be thinking about getting wood...

I also called into a fruit and veg wholesalers in town, and asked if htey had any fruit or veg, that had seen better days, and couldnt sell on to the shops... I managed to get a tray of 14 cauli's for £2, ok the greens had seen better days, and there was a little bit of browning on one or two of them, but when i got home and was feeding one or two of them to the chickens and ducks.... i thought i might keep the rest for myself to put into the freezer:cool::D

I normally buy some reduced veg etc and sit in the chicken run and get the chickens and ducks to take the food from my hand etc, I love doing this, this also means i can get really close to the ducks, and i can give them a check over.....

    BUY!

Don't pay money for it. Grow a long row of perpetual spinach, easy and free.

At least, when it's not really frosty :D

.......And if you have enough space! :p

I can barely keep up with the demands of my lot, but I've just planted out another 3 long rows of Lucullus. At least the lettuce that bolts is never wasted now - and most of it does!

Pete removed the hay bales today, fairly confident that they wouldn't spontaneously combust if placed well apart in his barn. The good weather has been reluctant to break here, but I think it was a good move. ;)

Thinking the bales and the good weather might be on their way out, I ventured into the field last night to grab some quick shots of the moon as it rose over the harvest scene. It wasn't until I turned around that I realised the main show was behind me, as Turner had been busy painting the sunset. Talk about unobservant! :o

my uncle was chief engineer on the SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL tall ship for about 25yrs ! he did the tall ship races and went round our coasts many many times..hes retired now. he loved it and told tales ...ie. how they stuffed a matress in a hole below the waterline after they hit something and limped into a port in france ...much to the locals surprise !! also how they used to send people up the mast in a cradle and pretend to forget them....scary !!:)

well iv sold SOME stuff today but still lots for the tip !! im being VERY good at the mo and getting rid before i change my mind !!:)

i got lots of fruit for my MABEL so she will be happy...:):)

i also got a phone call saying " i think 7.45 am tomorow will be ok to pick me up for the airport?" ....stunned silence from me :o....trying to think quickly i said.." what terminal is it from?" reply "north" ...so i guessed it was gatwick [again!!] i had clean forgot as it was booked a long time ago !!:p so good job he rang or he'd be going nowhere...:rotfl:. bang goes my lie-in !!:(
