Discovering this, it threw a real wobbly and careered towards a couple of Welsummers, pecking at them wildly. Then, it sat down on its own and started preening, equally wildly, but the noise it made was like a dog shaking a stick and growling. I left it to it. Ten minutes later, it was still there growling and preening intermittently. I think you could call it all a proper temper tantrum! :rotfl:

DW took off all foliage and hoping back improves so I can lift whats left.

You need to leave the tubers in the ground for 3 weeks so any blight on the ground surface has time to dry out and die first. So you have time to recover.

They are going to be named ....Quackie and Aristwaddle Onassis. :) I'm rather chuffed with that.

Alfie gave us THREE geese, so Aristwaddle and Quackie have been joined by J Egg K.

I'm shattered. On the way dowm to Alfie's paradise we got stuck behind every slow car on the road. Then on the way back there was an incident (thank goodness for sat nav with alerts.) then another, and another.... THEN as I crossed the 303 I saw that EASTBOUND traffic was crawling.....it is a Friday isn't it? The worlds turned upside down!

hen we followed a caravan the rest of the way home. The Onasisses and JEK were good and quiet all the way back and we popped them out, spent half an hour trying to convince them to eat and drink then left them to it for the night. They looked exhausted.

Dog dog read me the riot act for leaving her alone too. :) The promised thunder hasn't been yet. Even after all the rain.....the wind is back to its old tricks drying everything out. :(

Courgettes, littlies but proper courgettes for supper tonight!

DH says he can have a look for you but he really, really, really isn't a property lawyer. I was more on the ball than him over purching things. I wouldn't put ANY faith in him whatsoever. People willing, but ability weak. :(

RADON... it occurs naturally all over the world, unless it is in high concentrates it is of no danger....long exposure to excess is assoc. with lung cancer BUT it is a natural occurance ?? maybe ,as i think you mentioned "old mines" ,that is the reasons it was mentioned...you can get level reports from geologists im sure it would be recorded if it had a HIGH rating for that area...

LIR...glad you got back ok tho i do NOT envy your father getting back in his car and noticing the "air freshener" has changed somewhat !!!

i do hope they settle in ok and get on with the squatting peacocks !!
i forgot to get picture...so you will have to do the honors with your camera !!
