I love the sound of your family. :)
Thankyou, most of the time they are ok.

I'll tell you via PM what my hedge is made of this year ;)

Well it's rained all day again - fed up totally now & everything is looking pear shaped for the weekend as we haven't been able to do much outside at all. The cloud is so low you can't see up the Loch & it is so dreich - that's the only way to describe it dreich.

Was that the consignment of 'Welsh' blankets from Dartmoor that you were shifting down the Taw valley here yesterday afternoon? I tried to keep up with you, but you were going too quickly for me!

But I did manage to snap this photo.........

Seriously, when I saw that van, I just had to take a quick snap! :rotfl:

Sorry for messing the page up.....I had all sorts of trouble with that photo, so I can't re-size it. :o

Well, this morning there's only a gentle breeze here, which makes a nice change after days of non-stop bluster. All the pots are lying on their sides in our 'sheltered' area at the front, like a hurricane has gone through there, so the first job will be to pick them up. We've had a bit of useful rain, but it still won't change the state of the rivers or help our new hedge saplings, which we're having to water.

I hope it calms down for you too, choille. Looking on here, it never ceases to amaze me how varied our weather experiences are on such a small island. If we could only average them all out & distribute fairly, eh?

Our night out yesterday was lovely, but a bit daunting, as we were in a bungalow that had been like ours, but it was almost 'done,' and the amount of work they'd carried out was huge. I'm happy to do whatever it takes on the land, but I just can't raise the same enthusiasm for major building work - never could. :(

    I've been Money Tipped!
    hahaha to the van. :):)

weather here is grim and grey. We have had rain, but the wind has more than over compensated for the rain, everything is still parched where I haven't watered. Even things I have are struggling: one of the grapes, thePersina buttercups. Is been a wretched year for a new garden, because despite the early heat the drought has made it very hard on young plants, even with watering. Even the [eagoniums look a bit fed up, little growth, no joy!The roses I popped in last year are small, the ones moved to late look weak and straggly and light on leaf. :(
