Someone has promised me a ride-on mower; not a wonderful one, but at least I'll be able to see if it saves us time. :)
    Grass or petrol fed?

    :D I'm in a silly mood tonight :)

Fancied some Ball & Farrow but didn't have the colour I liked in Exterior grade. Diddn't know getting or rather not getting a tin of paint could prove so damnably difficult - Grrrrrrrrrrrr..

which colour? is this via the postal service they can't provide it?

edit: would dulux colour analyse it and send from elsewhere?

Its crazy, the colour /paint thing. Big decision about structure one has to make between the bang of a hammer it seems to me, yet the colour agony rumbles on and on and on....I think its because its less important, its a way f trivialising the stress

Petrol. The other kind are very welcome too, so long as they belong to someone else and pay their dues in firewood. ;)

Anyway, it's been delayed. The owner hadn't opened the garage door in front of it for two years, and when he did, it fell off. That wouldn't have been such a problem, were not other dangerous items being stored in there. So, emergency call to me for a length of 4"x2" and much DIY later, the door's back on, but the mower hasn't moved.

Idiots in the barn conversions have succeeded in training the jackdaws to tear open the bin bags in search of food, so now we have rubbish strewn down the road every Monday am. I don't see an easy solution....only murder. I think I know how to bump them off, but it's a bit unfair on the birds. :(

    Hi CTC,

Might this Vintage and Handmade Fair be suitable for you? It seems to be near Bath, so not sure if that's too far to travel?

Edit: nearest station is in Bristol, so I got the Bath bit wrong! Oh well, they both begin with B and are down South. ;) Can you tell I'm useless at geography? :o

Looks good, and a very nice web site too.

Chipping Sodbury is in South Gloucestershire, so definitely not part of Bath, (Somerset) though close. There's a good deal of money in the immediate area, plus the Cotswolds, and also to the south-east in Wilts, hence many fairs in this region, including Plant Fairs. ;) Gosh, do I miss those! :(

Useful amounts of rain falling here. :)

I can't edit the post above to add text. Even my hose is messy here! The capanula has done well to stand in the wind, even with those visable stakes. I've staked everything today, and restaked it. I have a very tattered snapdragon, an iris, and two odd coloured roses in a vase: winddamage. Everything else seems to have coped ok.
