I just listened to it, the rest of the family being royalists, were watching it in the other room, while I was being a grump :D
I saw them go in and come out, she looks nice, although I think I'd prefer her sister tbh :) but Kate looks more royal like material. Her sister looks far more naughty.

    :D

The thumb tip is still on thanks Dave! Doesn't look very appealing though.

SO why doesnt he get off his butt and sort it ??

Its my DW's fault that I'm dying of thirst here! Fancy going off for a long weekend to look after our gs. Who's going to make my cups of tea, walk the dog, make the bed and put the chooks away at night??? I'm feeling right hard done by ;)

Rummer, we've been hit and miss on seeds as well, some things doing very well, others failing miserably. Took the (near total failure) winter butternut seed packet back to Wilko and got 5 packets of odds and sods in exchange. Reckon we must have germinated a few thousand seeds this year to date, mind most were cress and lobelia :D

LIR/Lotus Eater, sometimes I look back and think, what a b****y fool I was. Usually because I hadnt taken basic precautions when DIYing. Luckily most times havent been too damaging (fully recovered from levering a steel tack into my eye straight thru my glasses  ), though I still suffer from tearing my back muscles years ago. I was kicking logs into a very large fire and trapped my foot. Struggling to get my leg out before my toes crisped did my back in and 25 years later its still there to remind me. :o

Oh and I was a grump as well!

I think the 'person' above is a 'bot. ;)

Whoever he is, he's not looking at my system! :rotfl:

Edit: Mods have now removed the suspected non-human.

Choille, I think its a piece of software that runs automated tasks on the web, like trawling for content for search engines.

My tally of plants lost to the winter cold has just dropped by one :)

Deffo gone are rosemary and a hardy fuchsia (Delta's Sarah) but back from the dead is the 20 yo bay tree. Several branches had died back but have cut back to live wood that is now shooting :j

Now the bay sits above a herb bed that's been taken over by rhubarb that I thought I'd dug out. So 2' down today I'm still digging out rhubarb tap roots and I'm not sure I've got them all!

i need to find out if the council can pick up a mountain of old c**p that is building up every time i sort a shed !! i think they may ?? the world stops for 4 days this weekend! every thing is "i will have to do that tuesday!!" i must make a list of who i have to ring.....

ive just learnt its the beaulieu auto jumble 14th/15th may....same days start to the "railway" open days and im supposed to go along with the AJ traffic to try and get there for it.... thousands turn up for the AJ and i have no other route i can take !! railway is right slap bang in the middle of the village route !!!!:(

    WEll - I've had a hen gone.

The pecked Orp has gone - no feathers nowt. Her wings were clipped, she couldn't get out of her new pen. Mr Teddy was also out of his pen when we got back yesterday. It is weird. The chain was on the gate but lazily I didn't fasten the padlock - never do. The chain was left loose, so I did know when we got back that someone had been down here.

    I feel sick.

    We're starting to think so.
Someone has been down here while we were away & I don't know if they've taken her or let her out, but if she was let out she would have hung around the pen area, but I can't find any feathers - usually if they get snaffled then you do find feathers.
Mr Teddy was also out but still here - just had to put him back in his pen.
It's strange but at this time of year there are all sorts of folks about. Our good neighbours that overlook the croft are away on holiday just now but they would have seen whoever it was opening the gate - the gate creaks loudly when you pull the bolt on - sprung one.
    But they are away.
I should have locked the gate - not supposed to with right of acess an all that but too many tools lying around for our own good as well.
I don't think anything else is missing but We'll have a check & I'd better check the neighbours house - I have a key.

iv had this worry in the past, [i have a baseball bat by my bed, which the nice polisman told me i could always demonstrate how to swing the bat to an unwelcome visitor !!].... iv been here till i went out at 2pm and in the next hour they tried to take my generator! only thwarted by the fact they obviously couldnt actually lift the thing into thier vehicle. BF was back at 3pm to find it.....on the drive.!! the scary bit is its obvious they must have been "watching" my place??

choille....do take care looking at next door...not to be a doom and gloomer....but you cant take chances.
