glad you got home safely Alfie even though you totally pooped... sorry to hear about the cat, hope the injury doesnt cause too many problems...

Davesnave... is there a guniea fowl re-homing service, as i am sure now would be the time to have some.....:rotfl: seriously htere is nothing more annoying than the constant bark of a dog.... its a bit like a dripping tap.... I am sure in olden days in japan/china ? it was classed as a torture

bought a new wooden gate last night in homebase, so hopefully hubby will do that tonight...

my eldest took a photo of hte pig and the escort going, so i will get him to put hte pic on my puter and post it later:rotfl:

I love rhueburb, but i would never pay £3 odd for a few sticks of it... IT is sooooooooooo easy to grow, just plonk it in the ground and forget about it.:D i have my compost bin just by the side of it, so i dont need to worry about feeding the thing... I never force it to grow early... and most of the time i just done one or two crumbles and then make chutney out of the rest...

I am sooooooooooooo dreading the budget later.... i think there might be a cruel twist in there somewhere....

Just had our rates through for the house and work:eek: our rates are low to other peoples but flip its getting beyond a joke now...

Well, frustrating start to my day but stayed outside once I went out. Got a wee bit of weeding done, and some more painting. Well, a lot of painting really. Used a ten litre pot of paint and got half way through the first ''little'' job. Wanted to bath the dogs and a couple of horses but just didn't get to it :(

What a fabulous day here today :D the sun has been out all day and I got to work in the garden in just a t-shirt (and trousers). Finally got the raspberry bed weeded and I popped in some more canes and the logan berries I bought.

Then I dug over the current bed and planted the strawberries I got, round about them. Doesn't sound like much but my thighs are creaming after all the weeding and planting .

Well haven't you een busy Rummer - puts me to shame. I was lolling about in Ullapool at an art class as the sun beat down.

First of my paypal money from ebay sales getting cleared into my bank account so egg cooker & other bits & pieces ordered up - great but the delivery will be one to two weeks - want it NOW.

Some one who bought something hasn'treceived it so that's a hassle - will have to give them a refund.

Contemplating wrapping the lower legs of poly tunnel frame in chicken wire & letting hens in there to clean the ground as my back isn't letting me dig much - hobbling today. Just so behind it seems overwhelming - almost.

Sounds like a great plan. :) Things that save your body also boost your soul. And the chickens will LOVE it. :)

The art class was good - a treat & free.

A pear tree was chopped down by a developer - he was told not to but he did - wasn't on his ground either. They reckon it was really ancient. We made pears out of clay - in Raku glaze & others made the tree out of chicken wire & cloth - for an exhibition. It was like playing. It was great.

I don't think this is right, but is a common misconception. I bought from Australia, and it was up to sender to contact their postal service. So far as I am aware (unless rules have changed in the last 4/5 years) it is up to the sender to contact postal service here in UK too. The contract is with the payer, in this case the sender.
