I was going to make a rude quip about getting laid, but I think some people might flail to see the joke.
Instead, I'll just say I've now spent all of my Npower gas refund on vegetable seeds.:)

hehe.
Right...geese and goats.
white geese...got to find...either frilly people like Alfie's or Ebdens....but I do want white and big.
Goats....have emailed a couple of breed societies today to ask for advice. Quite like English goats. Don't want pygmys...lovely but too wee.0 -
Update from me and mine. Today its rather mild but drizly so spent the afternoon baking bread, biscuits, scones and cake. yummmmm. Yeasterday I walked round our top field and just checked the hedges and fencing and today fed the sheep and yearling colts as per usual and mucked out. The allotment [veg plot] is coming together I think. its about a foot deep in straw and manure a the moment so hope for a good crop this year. I must get on and order seeds. A load of logs for the woodburners was delivered this morning. The colts are getting more handling and are getting better at being groomed and feet being picked up so thats good. the ewes and the tup are looking fine and are tucking into their daily feed. The old landrover had a new fuel pipe thingy fitted as the original had rusted through. Bought a doz lovely freah real free range eggs from the old guy down the village. nothing else to add except DH is allowed to take the old pallets from work once a week so thats eeking out the wood pile nicely. I am planning a small orchard to add to our existing fruit trees. Its all vey exciting."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

Quite amazing thunder storm & the phone has gone off. We have a severe weather warning for gales & heavy snow falls - well we've had gales going for ages & hail. I'm not fazed usually by thunder & lightening but it's been incredibley loud again.
This has been a pattern this Winter & we have heard the term Thunder snow getting banded about - never heard of it before this Winter.0 -

Odd isn't it? Last summer we had very few ''proper'' summer storms too. (I love summer storms).0 -
It is strange - just weather fronts rushing in I guess.
Not looking forward to heavy snow - really getting cabin fever. Not been fit to step out the door much today without waterproofs. The ground is a bog. Hardly slept last night but poor OH was awake most of it & was away early & back late - I'm the one yawning & feeling like going to bed. Too noisy to read. I hate wind. The phone keeps 'going off' as if the receiver isn't down properly.
Must move the troughs & stuff tomorrow as the grounds getting poached.
Spent most of the day ploughing through the Crofting Reform Act - hardly a ripping yarn & is probably why I feel as if I could lapse into a coma.0 -

Yes, I heard your area's weather forecast in the car, coming home from the weekly shopping trip. It didn't sound good!
At that time rain was hammering down on the car and the road was like a river, but when I reached home it was dry, and there was only a small breeze. Very localised stuff here.
I'm just grateful to have the outside water on again.
Lir, you want goats for......??0 -

And to help keep the brambly bits down as we get them chopped.....
edit: you just know they are gonna get names and be pets. Still the chooks tasted good.
Chooks are one thing. I could look any chook in the eye and still have it for dinner, but a nice, intelligent, wide-eyed goat.....!!!
