The new setting shares your data with non-Facebook sites & it is automatically set to "Enabled".Go to Account>Privacy Settings>Apps & Websites>Instant Personalization>edit settings & uncheck "Enable". Personally, I'd probably introduce all together.....BUT that's me and I'm a little gung ho AND I have the wise old ladies who calm things down very quickly, and no littles :) You have mini babies too...Hmm.

I think you know them best. If the littlies are just going to be charging up and down a fence line it might make things more drawn out, but if you can get them out the way entirely it might be worth intrducing her just to Barney. Especially as she's been in for a while and will probably be quite ''whizzy'' :)
i think they will be ok... im all for getting on with it and i dont think they will be able to keep up!! [minis] its the big field so what the heck...
    watch this space :D

    Page bookmarked.:D I know I'll need it if I don't!

CTC, sorry the stress has begun, but sometimes having something unpleasant begin, is better than waiting for it to start. ;)

Choille, we had 3 Tornadoes this lunchtime, chasing each other. Could even have been yours later. Luckily, I saw them coming, as they can give you a turn if they sneak up.

Sorry, too tired to say much. I've been cutting a leylandii hedge all day and the wind's been sooooo cold. Day off tomorrow though. :)

    Good link, thanks.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.
  • Rugging her this winter will be ok. She'll get over it next year. BUT, tbh, the general thought is that even rug less she will be WARMER outside. Standing still in a stable she generates food fro eating. Outside she generates food fro eating and she can move around if she needs to warm up. We have a rugless chap here, he's wooly, but no native coat....I'd chuck her out.:D

my cob was fine outside unrugged and with a lovely thick coat but I was riding her and had to do at least a belly clip as she sweated up so much and would have been too cold, so the rug went on. Rain was what she hated and stood at the gate to come in. Come november I just didn`t have the heart to leave her outside when it poured but dry crispy weather was good. There is something about listening to a horse munching hay in a dry stable when it is pouring down

Ah well, another stinky trip for compost, plus a remaindered clematis "sunset", £9.98 down to £2.50 from B&Q.

With the lovely sunshine its great to get outside and do something productive. Even the weeded grass gets to be used to repair the bald patches left by the chickens on the grass paths :)

It was sunny here too, but I was in a wood for the morning, learning about hedge laying. It was bitter in there. :(

I'm glad the guy showing us the techniques kept it simple, but I think the Devon style is one of the easiest anyway. He said he'd even allow the use of jute string to tie lengths together, if time was pressing, rather than cutting & banging-in stakes. I was pleased at that, having done it already, imagining I was cheating! :o

I feel more confident now, but the best news was that our hedges aren't too far gone, which is just as well, as it'll take a few years yet to do them all.

Pretty bitter day here & I diddled about & then went for a walk down to the shore with fat cat - who thinks he's a dog but is getting rather elderly for these missions really.
Camera is flat which is slightly annoying as I wanted to take ebay photos of more clutter.
Haggis & neeps for tea, bubbling away on the wood burner.
One of my Shetland cross ewes looked rater different as we cut back over the field for home - she's gone & knocked off a horn bud & it's bled a bit. At least there is no flies to worry about. That's the thing often with crosses they can have these weedy horn things that end up getting caught & ripped off. Her's are/were just little sensible bumps but she's still managed to bash it - maybe by head butting? Who knows.
Hedge - laying Dave? That sounds like a great thing to do.
I'm just being a tad idle still but great to get outdoors.
