I'm greedy. But what is ''enough'' for each varies. I'm finding the camping in the sitting room round the wood burner good fun, a lot of my friends would freak. For us here has been a bit of living tightly for a long time so we could do what we are doing now...and a lot of that is about being secure....housing wise, income wise, for fuel etc.

DH has told meI'm not allowed out of bed today until I've chosen a new yard coat online. My current one the arm finally dropped off yesterday...I've been thinking about replacing it for years and years ....the pockets hang outside of the ripped outer and I lose stuff in the lining.

I've found a brilliantly discounted one in lurid purple. That will do me. :)

its raining here now, now they are saying people in flood areas better be on their guard, due to all the snow melting might cause some flooding..

Hubby and i were talking about these cold winters we have had for the last 2 years.... its like the winters we used to have when we were young...Hopefully it might mean we are getting our seasons back, as it was like they were blending all into one, and you couldnt tell if it was autumn, summer or spring....

At least with this long harsh spell it will kill off any bugs in the ground... ( hopefully)

Does anyone know how I can make my blog invite only?

I've just had a comment that I don't like - inocuous sounding though it is I don't want this person looking at my private life & I shoul;dn't have been so open.

There should be an option on the control panel with regards to privacy.

You should also be be able to block, or at least put the poster on ignore.

No one should put personal details on the net. There is a subtype of delusional disorder called erotomania where the patient becomes fixated on an individual, ignoring all messages that the recipiant does not wish to engage with him/her. The killer of John Lennon had such a fixation.

This is thankfully exremely rare, so please don`t be scared of it happening to you!

    Chaos here.

Special horse got caught on a gate in her rug at some point over night...DH found it this morning but didn't realise how badly she had hurt herself. dark special horse is plastered in sudocream now and looks very sorry for herself. Nothing that can be stitched, but some big and nasty abrasions. :( she was shaking with fear when I asked her to come past the offending gate, but she bravely did as asked.

Thaw has not bust anything this time,so far, some troughs still frozen solid, but one ballcock valve in the empty trough needed adjusting.

Hi guys, thanks for your comments on finances.

You know, I can honestly say with my hand on my heart that for the past couple of years I don't think I've ever been more contented with my life. Even though over the last few months I've been plagued with bronchitis, chemical burns, hypothermia and unexpected bills, I still remain positive and have not allowed things to drag me down. That's not to say I don't have my moments. This Christmas has been different too. I haven't resented it as much as in the past. I don't "do" Christmas really as I've been unable to seperate the life I have now to the life I should have with the daughter I lost at birth 11 years ago. The pain never leaves it just subsides and lays there in the background. I still live in hope that one day I will be a mommy even though I am now in my forties! EEK!

Maybe some would think that because I am in quite a bit of debt it would be wrong to bring a child into my world, but I have more than enough of what's important to give a child. And the material things may not always be brand new but we'd have exactly what we needed.

I guess realising your mistakes and discovering how to put them right and so being able to take control, even of just one aspect of your life, has a knock on effect to other parts of your life that you just don't realise. Maybe I have finally subconsiously (and now consiously as I've typed it) come to realise that no amount of moping or grinching will change my life back to what it should be now but will give me the strength to make my hopes and dreams become a reality in the future.

    Babbling again! lol!

Take care all and speak again soon.

Its a basic human right for a woman to have or have not, a child.

Finances are important, true, but if you provide a loving home, thats all that matters.

  • LIR..... sorry about your horse, hope she gets better soon, Sudacrem is a wonderfull thing... hope it heals the wounds...

Poosmate.... nothing will ever take the pain of losing a child.. 17 years ago on January 5th I had a mis-carriage, and even though i now have 2 teenage boys i still feel for the child i lost..

If you have the strong emotional feelings to have another child, do not fight them...as you might regret it later on in life...

The main thing is you have acknowledged your debt, and facing it head on.. and not burrying your head in the financial sand...it is hard to face up to... believe me I know. but once you have its a relief..even though you got tough times ahead... once you have opened your eyes and admit to the debt, its like its half paid allready IYSWIM..
