Snow today & quite cold & damp.

Had one of the surplus Orpingtons 9cockerel) for tea. Large frame but not as much meat on it as I would have expected. It was pretty tasty though - although not as tasty as a Scot's Grey. There's enough left for another couple of nights.

THe bedroom wall is soaking wet. OH reckons the insulation has slipped & it's the warm air condensing there. I had some clothes stacked there & they're all wet & mouldy smelling.

Hmm. My recall of living in a van in winter was a lot of condesation and wet bedding.

Is there any way you can make a sort of insulation patch and wedge that up against the wall outside, or tie it on?

Saw a hugely funny photo on the CAT site a while ago. Here - caravan balaclavas? http://www.cat.org.uk/information/aboutcatx.tmpl?init=4

can anyone help me, in laymans terms , put a photo with my text?? i am getting mad with myself trying at the mo !!!

To put up one of your own photos, you have to have it hosted by one of the photo sharing sites, like Flickr, Photobucket, Tinypic etc.
which are free to join. I use Photobucket.

Once you have some images uploaded to an album on one of these sites, they give you a code next to each one, which you can just copy and paste into your MSE post. Often you can choose the size of picture; for example, I always use thumbnail links to my Photobucket albums, but I could post full sized pictures.

'Tis easy, or else I wouldn't be able to do it! :)

Oh choille, I hope you can get the wetness sorted out. If the insulation has slipped does that mean the inside of your bedroom wall will freeze? Keep warm.

Interesting about the taste comparison. Meat flavour is why we started with the marans, as well as egg colour. Now I want to try one of these Scot's Greys!

We ate an Orpington cockerel in May. He was a bit chewy, so obviously fit and in good shape, but pretty strong on flavour.

I just uploaded this picture of a Vorwerk to Tinypic. Then I cut & pasted it, because the link code didn't seem to work.

They didn't even ask me to sign up to use their service. :)

I think I've used image shack before here. If I can do it anyone can. Some nice old MSE chums were trying to help me start a blog but I think my ineptitude exhausted them :o

IIRC having uploaded the pic on to your comuter you go to imageshack, locate the photo by ''browsing'' and then it gives you a few different URLS and you copy the one for forums and paste it in your text here and then it appears as a thumbnail.
