Evening all
Woohoo -it stopped raining today :jI managed to get a few blue peas stuck in the compost, and when I peeped behind all the fleeces it seems everything is fine :T...
hubby got back from a brewery trip this evening (he does actually do some work at work occasionally)..anyway he put his loose change in the bandit and won €60 -so thats another €30 towards the fund ..oh and some shrapnel in the tin
I need to get my fund broken down into £s + €s so i can keep track better
hope to get more done outside tomorrow -fingers crossed:D-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

tattcath.... a good start, and a brilliant idea to have smaller targets...def keeps you focussed...
MRSM ....i know if that was my hubby he would keep it in his pockets..lol... but he would use it to buy the things i ask him to nip to the shop for... when we are low on milk etc....
Bonsibabe.... how you doing, ? did you get my pm on dooyoo? i am going to try and do a few reviews a week, nothing too heavy ..i think i have enough for an Amazon voucher, so i dont know whether to keep going to get the money or use the Amazon vouchers and start buying christmas pressies with them:xmastree:i know its only May, but i am starting to get bits and pieces ready for christmas, and start making presents and decorations. so hopefully this will save me spending money on impulse pressies come december time..lol..( so more money in my savings pot:D)
Davesnave.. how you doing ? have you had another viewing or any news on the agri tie place?
Well yesturday.... and i had a flipping fantastic day..... i sold some stuff which came to £85:j

Morning all
Ooooohhhh cooltrikerchick you are wicked :pI have only been debating this morning about my loose change tin- originally I set the 1st of Dec as "opening day" -but it is getting heavy -2861g to be exact (i weigh it every saturday) and I poked a knife in to see how high up the change was -its over 3/4 full :j.. my quandry is if, when I have to start a new tin do I leave the other one until dec 1st or open it up and bank it
...
Hubby doesn't often get near a bandit - but when he does he usually wins- I think he sticks his change in in as he knows if it comes home it gets "liberated" from him and into the change tin :rotfl:-Im not complaing though as even I couldn't frisk the €80 he gave me off him in change
Im making some xmas pressies too -not that I have many to provide for ... The biggest is a big x-stitch for my mum but Im half way there
I have been out in the garden allready -in fact I have done what I need to for the day :A:rotfl:
I have planted out all the other tomatoes apart from the 2 pink brandywine -so there are 40 tomatoe plants out there now- all still protected with a sheet of fleece as a windbreak
here is a pic of some that have been out for a couple of weeks or so -they don't look tall as I sink them well down in the compost to get stronger plants ..and they are nice n sturdy :j
I have got more beans n peas set this week -all straight out into the troughs..
So now all I have left inside for now are the courgettes and aubergines... even the peppers have gone into troughs and into the cold frame :T
Hope everyone gets a lovely day for gardening:D-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
ok MRSM you have twisted my arm, and talked me into it:p i am going to open my tin and count up my pennies/loose change, and bank it on monday....
as the curiosity as got me now.. i really do want to know what i have got..lol...
will let you all know later......just imagine the scene.. like scrouge counting every penny 3 or 4 times making sure i havent missed one...:rotfl:Work to live= not live to work0 -
ooohhhh you can't blame me :pmind then when I open mine -i can blame you :T
the last time I did one here in Germany I tipped it out and counted it all up into bags -took it to the bank and they looked at me like I was mad and proceeded to open the bags and dump them into a coin counter.. It seems thats how they do it here...but Im still going to count it all out as Im sad and love that bit
Not sure what size tin you have but I will take a guess at you having £47 ...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
CTC - thanks just got your PM on dooyoo, I must start writing again soon as have been a bit naughty with not writing much lately. And I need the money lol!

Hope you are all well. Gonna take some photos of the garden later and put them on the blog!

more like just over £25..that will teach me to be impatient...lol... but it is still brilliant, as its all little bits of loose change that i havent ( or hubby....:D) noticed has gone...
so i totally recommend a change jar...as those pennies do mount up...
so will add it to my sig
i was thinking..lol..
hyper-pathetically:D speaking....
if i wanted to buy something for 250k, what type of deposit would i need? and how much would i need to be earning? and what would the re-payments be:eek:
The wind has calmed down abit now, so going to do a bit outside, dont know for how long though....lol...Work to live= not live to work0 -
:T:T:T:T just think though -that £25 would have just been bits n bobs that you might have spent on that odd choc bar/magazine etc without realising :T
I must keep chanting I WILL NOT open mine until I can't wedge another cent in there :rotfl:... Im hoping it should hold a decent amount as its one of those big tins you have to tin opener -its strange because if I was in the uk I can't imagine throwing 50p pieces into the tin -but for some reason 50c bits don't seem to register as worth much -so I throw them in.
I dread to think how much the mortgage repayments would be on a £250k home .... I think Im aiming much lower than that :rotfl:..... Just a big back garden will do me... don't want to have hubby commiting to working all the hours god sends. My hubbies job is safe for the next 3 years but then unless they extend him again god know what will happen... hopefully the job situation will have improved by then as hubby will be 48 -the thing in his favour will be 27 years service with the army and army contacts etc...
If push comes to shove though we know that when he leaves his lump sum would pay our mortgage off and his part pension would be about £350 a month until he hits 55 and then he goes onto full pension..so even if we have to stay in the house we currently have at least we should be ok... but I will keep on dreaming and plotting until then
oooohhhh almost forgot I have just been and popped some more beans n peas into the empty tubs -woohoo-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
thats the type of tin i got..oooo i mean had...lol..it was about half full, but when i was dropping the money in i thought it only fell a little way...silly me..
i had mainly coppers 10p's and 5p's a some 20p's ...
the re-payments would be mega....back to the drawing board....
did anyone win the euro lottery last night? if not i MIGHT buy a ticket for next weekWork to live= not live to work0 -
Davesnave.. how you doing ? have you had another viewing or any news on the agri tie place?
Anyway, we took another £300 at the show, which was only a 3 hour event, so a busy morning.
The place in Cornwall was no good, despite having a very nice house & land, because we couldn't get the van down the drive! Honestly, you would think when people are extending houses, especially ones with beautiful 1.7 acre gardens, that they might avoid blocking their own entrance and arrange things so that a few windows looked over the view! Nope!
DW finally gets to see the Ag-tied house tomorrow, but I'm told there's a lot of 'genuine interest,' which may mean it won't go at the price I have in mind. As it has also been extended by Fred Karno, I may not feel it is worth it if the price gets too silly. It will need serious money to sort out.
On the positive news front, my doctor gave me the pills I wanted and my dodgy knee is a lot better. That's worth more than anything else this week!0
