• Because of bad ME moment I'm going through I have meticulously recorded everything I have achieved today, (little jobs that are done in very short bursts and can be completed) This way I don't feel quite so frustrated with myself - Here's the list Pots put away x3

For a moment there you had me worried. I use a top sheet on all our beds so I don't have to keep washing the duvet covers - although they DO get washed fairly frequently - but I WOULD NOT do this on our guest bed - the whole lot would get washed - in fact I think when I do have guests they only get a bottom sheet as I know I will have the duvet cover washed ... please tell me I am not disgusting :rotfl:
In fact I just bought a new set for DSs bedroom while in town this afternoon - as a change set:D so when I do wash the one he has on (and it's pale so very frequently) I can now pop the 'second' set on straight away (oh and our cat's a bed sleeper - mine and DDs usually!)

ooh i hope i haven't offended anyone. It's just these people may not know each other ...
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Hi again! so this isn't really to do with flying but I've a quick question that I'm hoping you knowledgeable ladies will have a solution to..
I have a uniform for work which is white, after being washed & worn daily for the last 3 plus years, none of them are now looking quite so white  . I always wash them on their own, I use washing liquid for whites, I've tried hot washes, pre soaks, add to your wash extra powder things, but none of it gets them looking properly clean if you know what I mean..

has anyone got any suggestions??

3Tabbycats what are they made of - could you soak them in bleach for a little while - or what about soda crystals/ borax(you can get it in Boots) Cant you get a new unirform!!!:rotfl:

Have endured an extended call from the dragon lady - this next few weeks is going to be a nightmare with her:eek:

having posted my updated list I see I am running out of jobs that dont involve too much arm movement!!!!! My arms are so weak that I am now going to be struggling but will be taking it slowly and doing babysteps -but its bl**dy frustrating!

Try Household Borax (A company called "Dri-Pak Traditional" do small boxes. I get it from a local hardware shop...). Pop a little in with your washing powder in the machine - half a cup with a full wash, or 20g in rinse cycle. I can confirm it gives me "cleaner brighter clothes" as it says on the box!!

Off to update list....

Toots - they're made of cotton...yup a new uniform would be much easier but not much chance of that! Can you bleach cotton? I'm a bit clueless!

ZCC72 - thanks for that, I'll have a look in town at the weekend & give borax a try..they are looking decidedly grey in places at the mo!

There was something really important I had to do as well, but I have forgotten....

Had good day, a little flying, visitng friends and knitting! Settled down now to watch Sweeney Todd, with a little bit of ironing. I seem to have a lot of the lists left - but I am not chauffeuring anyone tomorrow, so plan to catch up. I'll pop in for a few HHC!

And I'm cooked...night all, sweet dreams!
