Soappie - she's already on two meals a day....we've been told to give her lunch too! The problem is if she has too big a meal she gets 'loose' and we can't get the amount she needs into two meals so three it is. She's on a good diet too ... oh well lets hope she puts weight on and it's not her thyroid. Hugs to all. I'm going to clean the pet food cupboard now xx

I won't even attempt to go back and read any posts as there are 16 more pages since I last logged on the day before yesterday! *faints*

Anyway, it hasn't been a good couple of days by any stretch of the imagination, though I have been v. busy with wedding dress related stuff (trying on and sourcing the possible ONE!)

Just wanted to pop by anyway, say *hulloo* and keep my hand in. Kind of.

    JillD, hope you're OK xx

    Hi,

Hope everyone is well & welcome newbies/returners. Toots, I'm really glad that you're doing well. I've been thinking of you. Also, hugs for anyone who's been affected by redundancy recently. My Mum got the bad news yesterday that She's being made redundant after over ten years of doing her paper round (she delivers the local free paper). She doesn't need the money but as my dad works full-time she sees it as a way of getting out of the house, so she was upset yesterday when I saw her.

I'm late starting my list today but I've been busy doing lots of errands

    Tremendous Thursday-Master bedroom & hall

    Level 1
    Strip & wash bedding
Hoover bedroom floor (have borrowed my niece's hoover!)
    Wipe surfaces

    Dailies
    Check bins
    Dishes
    Laundry
    Errands (some already done)

    Extra
    Sweep & mop hall floor

I really felt very CBA this afternoon, but feel so much better now I have done a little bit.

Does anyone else think this is really disgusting...

In the White Company catalogue, the owner of the company goes on about how you can use a top sheet on the bed, and so remove the need to change the duvet cover in between guests...ugggghhhhhh unless your guests sleep in a perfectly straight line all night, it's disgusting. Isn't it?

Hi Emily - good to see you. Sorry to hear about your Mum's redundancy. Even if she doesn't need the money, as you say, if she saw it as a way of getting out of the house, it will upset her. You'll have to encourage her to find something else to deliver. I'm certainly still getting lots and lots of leaflets for various things through the door.

Or perhaps she could take up some voluntary work?

Toots - I'll stick my £50 in the savings account I think. It'll probably be swallowed up eventually by the electric bill that seems to be the size of fuelling a small third world country. But it might earn my half a penny before it goes all electric.

I've pottered flying wise. Emptied the DW (which I had the foresight to put on this morning). Got the BM on. WM on. Kitchen S&S'd, bathroom decluttered a tad.

Fretted for a while about dotty old woman upstairs next door (above NN) as NN phoned to say old g*t upstairs had knocked asking if dotty old woman was with her. Dotty old woman has alzheimers and goes walk about occasionally. Old g*t said he'd left her in the car for two minutes whilst he nipped into Aldis and she wandered off. He'd driven around but couldn't find her so he was about to call the Police.

About half an hour later, NN phoned again to say dotty old woman was at the hospital. Some kind soul must have realised she wasn't all the ticket and called an ambulance for her. At least she's not out wandering all night. I think we need to encourage old g*t to get an electronic tag for her. It's so sad though. She was such a bright, intelligent woman.

Off to make stiry fry with bits and pieces in the fridge and rice.
