awwww moozie :grouphug: look at what you have achieved - you are not a failure. Dont give up - this is just a minor set back. Just think what would have happened this month if you had not done everything that you have already done with MSE. So your going to have to use the overdraft for 1 more month - thats not such a biggie in the overall grand scheme of things is it ? Ive just checcked and you have managed to reduce your debt by over £1000.00 in 1 month - you should be congratulating yourself :T:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0

Aww Moozie please don't be hard on yourself this is from the past and can't be helped. It takes a while to completely wipe the slate clean as things like this have to be sorted and you can then move on, think of it as getting one step nearer rather than further away, you will be back on track before you know it.
Could you sell a few bits on Ebay to make yourself feel a bit better perhaps?
You have encouraged so many since you joined and I always enjoy reading your posts. Well done for all you have achieved so far :T0 -
*rushes in out of breath*
Hi Mooziesorry I'm late tonight so I missed you ..have you got any of that lovely looking cake left??
My dear girl you have nothing to beat yourself up for..its just a minor blip..REALLY!!!!! Its an old purchase (pre your sparkly new self) and s**t happens hun you'll be fine I promise if not you can come back and kick my butt
I had the same thing happen in Jan..invoice for pressies  Hope you'll post again tomorrow then we can sort out some cheapo recipes and stuff for this month to see you through :grouphug: or we can always see if Tescos has any wine offers and just get sozzled..0 -
Once again I am overwhelmed by your kindness and thoughtfulness. Thank you very much :T
I feel a little better today. I have written a cheque and posted it off as I really didn't want to dwell on it anymore. I just wanted it over and done with. Your messages made me put things more in perspective. You are right, one more month in the OD is not the end of the world. I will have to focus on not being OD by £400+ as I usually am, so the £5 week suggestion will be my plan. That will be my only saving grace this month.
I didn't think I was being too hard on myself but your comments made me realise I was imposing unrealistic expectations on myself. As Chortle said, it's only normal that the 'old' life will encroach on the 'new' life. I think what got me down the most was that I had forgotten about the bill and thought I had finally worked out my figures correctly. You may have noticed - and southernscouser knows for a fact - that figures are not my strongest point! Still, it's done now and it's made me even more determined to get out of debt.
The offer of chocolate cake and booze (thank you Alleycat and D&DD) were particularly welcome as I am on a diet and I could do with some rich cake and lots of alcohol right now!
I am really grateful for all your comments and I only wish I could press that 'thanks' button more than once! I am so lucky to have found this great communityLeason learnt :beer:0 -

Hi Moozie - I have alot to thank you for, so please, please be kind to yourself. I have been having Martin's newsletter every week for about 18 months and it was only the fact that your thread was put on his page, that I clicked on the link and the door opened to a whole new world - it reminded me of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe!!! So many wonderful, fascinating things awaited me in a world I didn't know existed. I am now an old styler and am preparing food from scratch, thanks to the recipes.... I have cancelled my window cleaners and am now using vinegar for everything that needs to be cleaned..... I have joined the £2 club....the 20p club.... the monthly grocery challenge.... the list is endless - so please, please DON'T beat yourself up! I thank you from the bottom of my heart :smileyheaWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0

It's amazing what a few words can do for you isn't it?
I got a PM off someone I had never spoken to before just congratulating me and to keep up the good work!
It was very humbling and that person may not realise it but gave me such a mahousive boost when I've been feeling at my lowest since before my "journey" started!0
