Boot sales likely to be off down here too, heavy rain is forecast for tomorrow:mad:...still it gives me a chance to get on with things at home, I've got a few clothes to list on Ebay.
I popped into my local CS this morning to drop some stuff off, their linens were 1/2 price and I picked up a vintage eiderdown, perfect condition, with Witney blanket label on it, for £3. DD wants it for her bedroom so will take it to the launderette for a freshen up.

As the boot sale was cancelled I took myself off to the charity shops as well! Got a few books for Ebay, but my pick of the day was a gorgeous red Karen Millen dress for £4. Just done a 'completed listings' search on Ebay and found the identical dress sold on BIN for £99!!!!
Will be listing it tomorrow - fingers crossed!!!
No, Mr A, that is NOT 'Great news'!!:D

    Wombling totals: Oct = £243.32 - £93.32 over target!
Nov Wombling Tally: £27.36 so far... behind target :(

Hi Snowbrow. Went to Leamington Spa last week. Quite a few chazza shops although some very overpriced (Zara dress £65 and Zara kaftan top £35). Thought the Save The Children shop was particularly good.

I did the Leamington charity shops today - there's now 5 on Regents Street alone!

I live near Leamington and do a sweep of them every time I'm in town. They shop at the tip is quite often worth a trawl through as well.

I think there's a car boot sale at Brandon/Binley Woods too this wkend.

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker Mortgage-free Glee!
Back from my little trip to Devon. We found loads of charity shops but sadly most of them seemed to be like the one on the Mary Portas programme!
We did get a Pelham puppet for £5, a pair of PunkRose pumps £2.99 for me and a brand new pair of cycling shoes £5.99 for DH (this is a MEGA bargain).
Back to the local shop down the road today, where I got a M&S Autograph top for £1 and M&S pedal pushers £3.
Lucy*Locket, whereabouts in Hertfordshire are you? I'm in Watford and usually go to Nash Mills bootsale on a Sunday. I think I'll give it a miss this week though, even if it's on it will be very muddy.
