do people buy stuff from carboots to resell on Ebay. I've tried finding things this weekend and to be honest I didn't know what was worth it or not.0

it is worth it - at the moment i find more things to sell in charity shops than at the car boots. even when we get to the boot sales late i still manage to find stuff.i do well with the stuff that people think is worth nothing, but that people do want to buy on ebay - be it rare, collectable, unusual etc.
start with what you know something about. use the advanced search option on ebay (tick completed listings) to get an idea of what sells well. i have to say it takes time, research and a bit of luck too!0 -

I just buy stuff I like ,and when OH gets annoyed at not being able to sit at the dinner table and eat a meal off it because its heaving with all my junk(at the minute its covered in china tea sets and glass ware I couldn't resist) I put some on ebay just to clear a space. Some of my fav finds I will always keep because I just love them but some spur off the moment buys I really dont mind selling on.
I have a bit of a handbag fetish too so sell those quite often on ebay for at least double what I paid for them.I had some I bought for £2 or £3 sell for £30 each a couple of months ago.
I have been extremely lucky and come out of it quite well financially so far.
Just now I am watching a little blue and white mug just ending on ebay which I bought for 10p,its at £9.99 just now:D.It went for £9.99,not bad for 10p.
If you are buying to sell you really have to know what you are buying, what sells and how much for, although sometimes something is just so cheap that its worth a punt even if you are not sure about it.
Spend some time researching what sells on ebay if thats going to be your market place. The best way to make any money from it is to buy stuff you like and maybe know a bit about already.Best to specialise in one or two areas I think.I dont take my own advice on that one though,I would buy anything at all if I thought I could make some profit on it eventually.
If you have the space and the patience it is definately worth buying odd bits of china and glassware and eventually you will have full sets at bargain prices.Look in the boxes under the tables and rummage in the 10p-50p crates in charity shops.I have been doing this for a month and have found the majority(one saucer short) of a noritake nippon tea set one or two items at a time as well as a growing collection of whitefriars glasses.I will keep picking them up untill I have full sets to sell.
Have fun."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -

Would anyone really pay £45 for a belt - I'd want it studded with diamonds for that price, lol.
I think I'm so used to shopping in charity shops and car boot sales, I just couldn't bear to part with hard-earned money just like that!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
