She's just a mouthpiece, works to a script and does exactly what her producer tells her to - or else ! Wouldn't mind seeing the outakes of this educational, caring, compassionate program :rotfl:0 -

If anyone wants bashing with your soggy arm it's that woman who narrates the prog. She is smarmy, condescending, irritating Ughhhhh I won't go on. She just drives me mad!!!!!0 -
DD has got me into watching anthea, though dd says I am a 'perfect housewife' already. I watched it last week and got some baskets from aldi this weekend, and also put my loo roll in a basket instead of having it in the packet. I always clean the bathroom when the kids are ion it anyway, and give the loos a squirt of cleaner daily, bleach down the kitchen sink once a week, and boiling water.
In my kitchen baskets I have one for desserts - custard powder, jelly etc, one for savoury tins, one for baking odds and ends, colouring and flavourings, baking powder etc, one for herbs and small condiments. pre- anthea I already kept all my flour/rice/pasta in a big box in the cupboard, and all my spices in a tray like the drawers you have at prinary school. DD has a nice box in her room marked 'things' (galvanised steel, £ 5 from la redoute) with compartments so she can keep her hair bobbles etc in one, pens in another and so on.
I think a lot of it os common sense, things i do already but could carry through a bit further, and some of what ms. t does verges on the obsessive, and i think she is a bit rude to people.
Dont think i am perfect, i did my back in on friday so i have not hoovered since then, therefore Anth would not set foot in my house LOL;) it would be too traumatic for her!Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
I have done reading too!

The woman who narrates the programme reminds me of the chap who narrates Gillian McKeiths. I think that they are great "cos I think they sound like they are taking the p*ss. I hope that no one takes offence as none is meant, but Anthea is a bit uptight.
I am afraid that I am a case of 'the path to hell is paved with good intentions' in fact I could probably have that on my gravestone! I mean to do all these things and watching Kim + Aggie or Anthea makes me do a spurt of jobs I keep putting of, but most of the time I never get round to them. i have a pair of curtains I bought before Xmas waiting to be shortened and put up ... perhaps I 'll do them now ... I can see another paving slab on my route being made!!!0 -

Just a heads up to say that the woman we love to hate is on BBC3 at 8pm tonight0

That woman is too perfect to be true,i dont believe for one minute that she does all the housework in that mansion of a house if you dont feel inadeqate before you watch you do afterwards still its good tv even if you find yourself reaching for the sickbag!0

I have watched this programme and found it hilarious .She is so anal-retentive it's just not true .She is in serious need of a humour transplant. It's her scary eyes that make her seem weird .No normal person behaves like this daft woman for goodness sake. She is welcome to her 'perfect' house and life , it doesn't seem like much fun. I would love her to see my youngest daughters house .She has five children under 13 ! they are all noisy messy kids who drop everthing wherever and the little ones creep off to draw at times on any surface they can find .Tess just smiles and says 'one day I'll have a tidy house ,but not today as the kids are enjoying themselves .There is a huge Boot box at the bottom of the stairs and all the shoes are chucked in there and when they want a pair they have to dig around for them. Her children adore their easy going Mum and all of their friends love going to their house as it is so relaxed. It's not a very big house and at times it seems to bulge with children but it's full of love and laughter and that is what's important, more so than beautifully folded towels0
