I'll have a root round, I'm sure R_S has posted the vundo fix recently...........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

..and welcome to the Big Guns :T
morning RIK, glad you've popped in, combofix would have been the next thing, but was going to ask either you or R_S to help out with that one, as you guys know it and I don't (yet
)
toniq - trust in the alien...I may have got you this far, but he's one of the guys who can finish you off
Hope not
:rotfl:
Morning mate. Seems a tricky one this!:idea:0 -

As it was VUNDO id suggest as follows ~
Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt in a reply to this thread.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.:idea:0 -

Looking at the original HT log. It seems Norton is half missing!
Use the removal tool
Download the norton removal tool
http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039
Switch on windows firewall and install Avira in its place ~
Download AVIRA ANTI VIRUS (Click 'DOWNLOAD NOW')
http://www.download.com/Avira-AntiVir-Personal-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10322935.html
Update and run a full scan with Avira (And id assume it will run a lot better with norton gone):idea:0 -
The vundo fix didn't find any infected files?
xxx how strange? xxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
As explained above. I believe the main boot up problem is norton not working properly:idea:0
