...it really depends on how much stuff you've got on your HDD, what speed your processor runs at, etc., etc., i.e. it can take anything from 40-odd mins to a couple of hours :eek:

a friend of mine had 225GB used on their HDD, and it took 2.5 hrs...

has it noted any problems yet ??

well done :j that's exactly right...now re-boot, and see how it goes...if it boots up okay, go get SuperAntiSpyware, install, update and full scan (this will take a while, around an hour-ish)

If that goes well, probably time to get SP1...we'll see

between the guys on here, stuff like vundo (which yes, can be nasty) and worse have been defeated...MBAM and SAS have good records against stuff...however there are bigger guns out there if needed...go with SAS first and see how you go..I'll check back tomorrow as to how you're getting on. If you have no joy, might have to call on Reluctant_Spender and his combofix/scripts to shift it.....
