Problem getting lappy to switch on?

Hi,

I have problems with my comping lappy , a fujitsu siemens amilo,
As i switch it on it doesn't always trigger the screen itms, often not all the lights that flash on a usual boot light up, the caps lock and number lock lights always have to flash in a normal boot , and at the moment i can have to try up to 25 odd times to get puter to boot?
When it does boot it might stall on main screen with a time bar stuck at 80% and wont let me access f2 or safe mode, so i have to press power off and leave a few mins and try again etc.

Ive tried taking battery out and leaving it a while but no joy,
Any advice would be gratefully received, the lappy is 13 months old xxx

hmm...could be a multitude of things...first off, what security suite are you using, and have you checked for nasties when you can get it to boot??
second, do you get any error messages at all when it hangs ?? Sounds like it could be either an infection or a corrupted/on the way out HDD....

Oh has run scans and said nothing wrong there xx
He is going on about something happened on the network that triggered this , as the gaming pc went funny a few days back?
Unfortunatley he has took to bed for the weekend as he is stopping smoking so has left me to deal with it xxx
I get no error messages at all or warnings from my security xxx many thanks for helping me xx

download, and 'scan and save logfile' option, this outs the logfile into Notepad, then copy and paste it on here...we can see what's going on on there...

yes, tick the boxes next to them and fix checked...

SP1 will take a while, but like I said, let's make sure you're sorted before downloading that
