Forward the email to Webby at the webmaster@moneysavingexpert.com address.
They should be able to look at the headers and see in two secs whether it is genuine or not. Sender addresses are easy to spoof.

they are looking your password so they can spam the site with your good rep, ppl ignore spam from users who joined the site today and has 1 post.
I would change your EMAIL password as they may have comprimised your email account. Running malwarebytes antimalware (free) is also recommended as you may have a privcy leak.
best of luck
wacko
If they had compromised shellsuits email address, chances are that as soon as they requested the reset of MSE password they would log into his email address and reset the MSE password.
Shellsuit would by now not be able to log in to MSE, so I don't think this has happened.
More likely is that someone with a similar username has forgotton their username and asked for a password reset thinking they were using the correct username.0 -

Hmm, I've just looked at us all who have had these emails, and we all have a good post count.
Wonder if wacko (post#11) is right and it is spammers hoping they can crack our passwords?
Oh, another thing. I received the unsubscription email, so I left it (didn't suscribe again) but I've received the email since then.
