Yipeeeeee!!!! Capital One is gone, gone, gone!!!!
I logged on to my account today to make a token payment of £2.00 on my Payment a Day and got carried away when I realised I only had 20 odd £ to pay so I went wild and paid it all!!!!! Bye bye Cap 1...I will miss you, NOT!!!!! :T:T:T
Wow how liberating!!!! Can't wait to get NEXT now....:rotfl:
Right well back to planet earth, my B.I.L has decided to stay in America for the time being to at least get his work visa so he has the option of going back so my debts will be remaining the same for now. Just makes me wish I had some savings to fall back on...this time next year Rodney, he he!!!
I'm waiting in for my housing manager today for my 6 week settling in appt (I moved in January 2nd so nice to know they keep up to date with things)!!! She's meant to be here at 10 so fingers crossed I can get to work after as I have lots to do due to my day off last Friday. Also have 2nd man of the day from boiler company, 1st one was here 2 mins to check electrics and this one's here to put a cage round my boiler cos I clearly don't have the sense to not cover it in damp towels...flamin health and safety. I'm also hoping he'll remove the screws that are poking out into the bathroom wall from where they fixed the boiler inside my airing cupboard!!! Great service...my boiler came complete with wall hooks!!!!:eek:
Have managed to wash all eBay stuff and will (fingers crossed) get it all on tomorrow night. I seem to be having one of those weeks where things keep popping up and ruining plans.
I have just called a gym and they have a creche. They have a deal on just for March (obviously...how else would they manage the hard sell)? so after work I will discuss this with Daddy dearest...wish me luck. I have already done my hoovering and polishing, walked the dog and am now going to get on with my ironing.
Be back later...have a nice day. :j:j:j

Hi Helnag,
Wish I had your get-up-and-go, I was late to work this morning because of accidents on the road and have done nothing but sit and read threads! I really have no enthusiam, BUT I do have a half day tomorrow and Friday off so hoping to get into the spirit and tackle with my housework the way you have!
Feel better already x0 -
Hi Swinstie73,
Believe me, my get up and go comes and goes as it pleases!!!!
This time next week I'll be in a can't be a!£$d mood!
I've just been trying to keep on top of things cos I know that once i let things slip I get down and it's hard work picking myself up again.
Right well, good news...Just had a letter from EDF and they're finally putting my energy prices down on 31st March, by how much remains to be seen but any cheaper has to be good news...yippee!!!!
I have just searched moneysupermarket for home insurance as mine is up for renewal in April and it's gone down by about £6 per month if I go with the AA, now I saw a link on pigsback for 3500 points for getting H.I through Pigsback but the flippin link wont work. Pigsback have told me to try another PC so am now going to try as I'm at work...fingers crossed.
bye for now, Helen. xxPAD total since 27/07/09 = £60.83 - [strike]Capital One[/strike]:[strike] £192.73[/strike]£27.00 Next catalogue: [strike]£429.00[/strike] £154.00Welcome car HP: [strike]£6090[/strike], £3900, Welcome Loan:[strike]£3370[/strike], £2660HLC #1: [strike]£907.00[/strike]£637.00, HLC #2:[strike] £838.00[/strike]£608.00Sealed Pot Challenge 2009 - Member #649 - Target £500...banked £119.50 already.0 -
Hi Helnag,
Well had lunch and feel a bit better, might have been the lack of food that got me so down. It's the time I can't spare for anything, my house used to be like a wee palace and now I just want to scream when I walk in the door, BUT I am going to set aside an hour tonight to make a start, feel better already!
My insurance is due up soon too, does yours on the AA include accidental damage? Apparantly mines never has (luckily in six years have never used it). Will check back later, lunch over x0 -
I managed to get my home insurance through Pigsback so hopefully 3500 will be credited soon...I hate all this waiting for my points to be credited, I think I'm waiting for around 1500 from other stuff too, I just get convinced they'll never turn up!!!
Anyway, I called my prev home insurer to tell them I wasn't going to renew my policy...soooo funny.
'How do you know we wont beat the new quote??'
'Because it's £6 per month cheaper',
'oh' and 'how much value does that cover?'
'£40,000',
'oh, well let me try anyway',
'o.k. but I'm also getting 3500 piggy points',
'sorry, piggy points?',
'yes that's around £35 cashback'.
'Oh well, we'll just tail it off at your renewal then, we can't beat that'.
I know I prob should of got a renewal figure from them first but I knew they wouldn't beat it cos I looked at 3 comparison sites first...her voice when I said about piggy points, Hilarious!!!!PAD total since 27/07/09 = £60.83 - [strike]Capital One[/strike]:[strike] £192.73[/strike]£27.00 Next catalogue: [strike]£429.00[/strike] £154.00Welcome car HP: [strike]£6090[/strike], £3900, Welcome Loan:[strike]£3370[/strike], £2660HLC #1: [strike]£907.00[/strike]£637.00, HLC #2:[strike] £838.00[/strike]£608.00Sealed Pot Challenge 2009 - Member #649 - Target £500...banked £119.50 already.0 -
Hiya, must have cross posted.
Yeah, it includes accidental...with my 2 LO's I need it!!!!
Glad you're feeling better...speaking of lunch I'm starving.
I try and keep my house clean but must say sometimes think I'm bordering on obsessive. Hard to find the time though with work and everything else though eh.
Don't get down about it...we all lead busy lives and it's impossible to keep on top of everything all the time. (although perhaps if I spent less time on here lately mine would be a little better). Speaking of which I'm meant to be working, I've been here since 12 and only managed 1 fax and a phone call...on with the invoicing before I am unemployed!!!
Helen. xx

Woohoo for you!! See ya later Capital One!! :T
Nice busy day for you I see, I know half the boilermen around heres names my mum phones them up so often and they never show up when they say. Thats a great 6weeks, people in charge of housing clearly work to a different calendar than the rest of us!!
YM20 x0 -
They're a bl**dy nightmare...was hoping today would be the last of the boiler saga but no...the electrician that came didn't do what he was supposed to according to the supervisor that visited earlier to sign it off. Now I need to wait in AGAIN!!!!
Yeah Bye Bye Cap 1...I MUST NOT GET ANOTHER CARD SENT THROUGH...
How's your day been YM20? Managed any housework Swinstie73?
