  • Whoa, busy day then! I'm planning on cleaning the entire house, all bar my parents room and bros room (although I have been and emptied his bin and found some shocking things and feel the need to have a talk with him later since my mother never will) Oh and were planting some sunflower seeds that have started growing in the pots finally outside now its getting a bit sunny.

Being able to open windows sounds like a good idea if your glossing, that stuff stinks!!

I like that you put normal housework/chores on your list, whenever anyone asks me what i'm up to i generally don't mention the 2+hours of cleaning, tidying, cooking etc since its so built in to daily routine, I think it needs to be recognised more.

Good luck with the stopping smoking (again) Even with a re-lapse your still so much better off with how far you've come with it.

Anyway off to start on the bathroom, although I am tempted to just throw everything out, saves me cleaning it all all the time!!

Yeah I know the feeling...Just done the bathroom...how do sinks get soooo grubby after just one day. I like putting it all on here, like you say the 2+ hours a day cleaning does go un-noticed and it helps me when I see just how much I do every day.

The window's a bl00dy nightmare, I mentioned it to my housing manager when she came the other week and she said she'd sort it. I probably wont really open it that much cos the dog will escape but I worry about fires and stuff and it's the only window in the front room that we'd fit through. Anyways she sent me a compliments slip yesterday saying I have to unscrew it and take it to a DIY store. Well, 1, you can't unscrew it cos its locked shut and the screw's underneath the handle, 2, I don't see why I should pay for it and 3, they are not universal keys and very hard to get hold of apparently. Cue three very irate phone calls to HA. Aggghhhh, they just wont have it.

You do so much with your little one. It's one thing I'm trying to make a point of doing more. I seem to spend so long each day tidying and working and LO spends half her time talking to herself and I'm not much better when the big one gets in either.

You can't beat making memories...I think you said that before??

LO spent her first night in a big girls bed last night, bless her, she was sooo good, I was expecting to be awoken several times with being bashed by Iggle Piggle and various other toys but I think she forgot she could get out. I heard her talking to herself this morning and then when I got up she said 'Mummy' all excited and climbed out of bed. Maybe tonight she'll remember and give me grief all night!!!

Oh well time to cross some stuff off my list. There's a special assembly today at the school for prize giving and to see who won the easter garden comp so it's back to school at 1.45 and I have to post a parcel en route. Is it wrong that I was tempted to sneak into the music room when nobody was looking and sabotage the other gardens??

    Bye for now,

    Helen xx

Well she didn't win!!!! It was actually a really nice assembly though. I always used to miss stuff like this cos I was too busy working so I like to make the effort now. She always looks so happy when she spots me there.

Think I've done well with my jobs today, the only thing I don't think I've done is bank my cheques but then the postman has only just arrived with my eBay cheque so I've kind of run out of time and I can bank them tomorrow.

Before I forget, if you're an eBayer, postage goes up on Monday so check this just in case, don't want everyone ending up out of pocket.

I don't know what's happened on eBay but went to get a postage address earlier and the person wants it sent to Oz, thought normally it leaves the postage blank if it's abroad but it didn't this time. Probably just me going mad but it's gonna cost me either £8 or £16 so I'll have to sort it out...it will cost me more to send it than the whole price she paid!!!!

Oh well must go, dd has friend over, ever offer then wish you hadn't?? I don't know what came over me!!!!

Sabotage away...just don't get caught doing it!

My monsters always been a bit hit and miss in his big boy choo choo thomas bed (he wont ever just say 'my bed', he picked the new sheets etc so hes always been very proud of them) Hes been in his since Nov, not long before he turned 2, because he started climbing out over the top of his cot and I was soooo paranoid i'd go in his room one monring and he'd have gone splat on the floor, out cold, bit broken etc. He could climb into it as well which is actually an achievement scaling something nearly twice as tall as him.

I try and do one thing for the monster for every thing we do for me, try and even it out a bit, although sometimes I pretend things are for him when really it's just because I want to do them :rotfl:

I have more time on my hands than you do though since i'm currently day-job-less. I'm only working tonight this weekend then having a girly night out for a mates birthday Sat and a work night out Sun so i'll be just as knackered as a normal weekend but several times more broke :o
I don't really do big messy nights out though, I don't have time for hangovers so I tend to think more about drinking too much so my nights out are way cheaper than my friends, plus I get free entry/drinks at work :D
And i'v borrowed dresses rather than go buying new outfits to wear once and forget about, I can be good when I try :A

Your housing manager sounds rubbish, bordering on incompetent, like my beautifully-fringed housing officer woman at the council whose still not returning my calls... I have a feeling shes !!!!!!ed off on holiday either that or she doesn't like me and my need for her to do her job!!

I really want to de-Iggle Piggle the house, he gets everywhere!! God send of a programme though, the only thing that gets my LOs full attention (apart from food) Iggle Piggle has to go to bed in the big boy choo choo Thomas bed too.... and needs cuddles and kisses...so does 'Tigger-Pooh', 'Big Ted' and 'Baby Bear'....

Yeah she's just started doing the same, was watching telly the other night and heard BANG and SCREAMING!!!!!!

Luckily she wasn't hurt and I don't think she'd do it again but I'd rather not risk it so Nanny who works in a bed shop got her a little bed as an early birthday pressie.
    Thanks heavens for grandparents!!

I literally NEVER go out EVER. My friend's coming tomorrow night which we've arranged 5 times since the new year and cancelled 4 due to childcare and various other complications. Just a curry and a bottle of wine and we're sorted.

I think all housing managers are incompetent to be honest (other than mine at my last house, he was great) but generally think it's just councils. Oh well, shouldn't moan, I have a roof over our heads and they've only put my rent up by £12 a week this year...Yes £12 a week, cheeky gits and they still expect me to pay to get my window unlocked.

I must include the doing more with kids thing in my goals for this year...

You can't de-iggle piggle...he's great. You couldn't live without Iggle Piggle.

Sorry had to laugh at Iggle -Piggle going to bed, dd she has toys everywhere, we did declutter her bed (shes 6), but they then have a habit of crawling back into bed, flavour of the month at the moment is Big Boy, hes a 3ft dalamation........... shes even been known to put them all in the bed on the pillow, give them the quilt and sleep against the wall so all her babies are comfy! x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Yeah both my girls are the same, LO has books and various other toys too. The 5YO is just swamped with teddies and who knows what else. I'm the same, have a declutter and then within a week they're all back again!!!!!
