Agreed, Tilda is a good choice. We used to get ours from an Indian or Pakistani shop ... until one of the shop lads suggested we try Pearl as it was just as good and cheaper!
    Good, clean fun.... :D

we used tilda initially but then tried a pakistani basmati called habib. we bought a 20kg bag for 27 quid from an asian shop. it is longer grain and and has the basmati smell which tilda doesnt have. kohinoor basmati is also good but is a bit expensive.
    hope it helps

I'm not a rice [strike]conness[/strike] [strike]coness[/strike] [strike]con[/strike] expert but I buy Morrisons Bettabuy Basmati Rice. Its really cheap, doesn't stick and tastes ok to me. Worth a try for the price of it.

Try laila basmati. Its available in asian shops and also in tesco/asda. 10 kg costs around 18 quid and its the best basmati. Also i have noticed pakistani basmati is best (whichever brand). I have tried most brands and have never got disappointed. But i love laila basmati. Tilda is tooooooo expensive!!

Lidl Basmati rice is good and is reasonably priced (well it was a few months back when I got a huge huge sack!).
