yesterday finally got email from NRP. They are requesting i should be sending child to them for mother day and its my responsibility. And now they decide they want to see their child over easter holidays..after i have been waiting for over 2 weeks for a reply! Thing is the dates NRP is expecting is when i have made my own plans.........no idea what to do..i gave NRP many opportunities to discuss dates but they never bothered replying.

Then in that case I would email back and say, sorry but it's taken you too long to reply and we have plans now... You can have these dates... and give a list of dates to choose from that are good for you.

If they're 200 miles away, 3 days is not enough notice for them to tell you to send the child for mothers day!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

last message had lots of abuse blaming me from raising a child who will be ill mannered!
what i dont understand is before such matters used to be discussed mutually by text and letters at least 4-6 weeks in advance, now NRP just seems to put their own demands as and when it suits them.
  • ritchie was there anything in the court order about how far in advance dates need to be arranged.

My hubby is a pwc and him and the nrp went via solicitors at the end of last year, they agreed to give each other at least 7 days notice of any alterations in arrangements, nrp kicked off about something or other and said that she feels its best they give 4 weeks notice in writing, suits us down to the ground

I would send an email back saying something like

If you would have given me enough time to organise getting our child to you on Mothers day then i would have but you have made it impossible. Regarding other dates you have asked for these are not available dates , after contacting you many times and you not responding i have now made plans for these dates. The times that are available are xxxxxxxx

    hi thanks for reply
previous status quo has always been at least 4 weeks notice and its always worked within reason okay.
now i feel bullied into cancelling our plans for easter just for her NRP.
  • Is the 4 weeks notice in the court order?

if you are offering dates that are in holidays you arent breaking a court order, also mothers day isnt a school holiday

right luckily email comunication is "working" although the NRP emails me with a load of abusive about how bad a parent i am etc etc and that just because they pay CM they should be allowed any contact dates they wish!!

I am going on holiday with my child this week (overseas) but as i am resident parent what do i need to tell the NRP? Do i need to go as afar as giving flight numbers, hotel name etc?

I was told by cafcass that I have to inform nrp if I want to go on holiday, if the date coincides with a contact session which is now weekly, *I* have to make up that supervised contact session at my own cost. The nrp also has full rights to prevent us from going on holiday, despite there being no prohibited steps order in place. This is also what cafcass told me.

The stress at not being able to go on holiday at all is beyond words.

Im not sure how it would affect you but tell the nrp, I dont see any need to inform of hotel name, etc though.

The nrp is making my life h3ll btw, he hardly ever turns up to the contact centre, but cafcass and contact centre staff keep jumping to his every whim despite complete lack of interest, he spent several hours on friday sending me abusive text messages, I will be informing cafcass and my lawyer tomorrow, but will they take any notice? Nah. Why is it that they cant see that the nrp is simply a child himself who is only doing this to make my and dd's life a misery? Cafcass already told him to stop verbally attacking me and only contact me regarding contact (if he is unable to make it), no doubt he will get the joint custody that he desires and I am being the vindictive obnoxious ex withholding contact.
