Have a look at moneysupermarket.com for the best rates - if you go for a fixed ISA and want to add next years to it also make sure the fixed ISA allows transfers in- alternatively open 1 this year and another one next yearKeep the Faith:cool:0

Most fixed rate ISA terms start when you pay money into them and don't allow you to add more.
This one from Dunfermline BS does allow you to add further funds, so you could pay up to £3,600 in now and another £3,600 after 6th April - same for your wife.

Barclays new Isa is one to research too on Monday. We have been told it'll be market leading with a rate of 3.61% and can be opened onlineif existing customer or in branch this year.0

any more advice please?, need to do this sooner than later and my head is spinning0

As per posts above:-
1. If you want a fixed rate you can add to Dunfermline BS (or another that allows you to do this).
2. Take out 2 separate FR ISA's per financial year."Every Pounds A Prisoner "
