hi i use a microfibre cloth to polish my s/s kettle and toaster, and i've never noticed any lint coming off. i use Home Bargains ones tho, haven't tried tesco's0

I can't vouch for Tesco's cloths, but I use the cheap ones from Semi Chem and they are excellent for polishing up my brushed steel cooker. They never shed any lint at all."All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.0 -

And what are the Tesco value ones like?
I use the tesco value ones 3pack for 89p they aren't as large as the tesco standard ones (were 2 for £1 a while ago) but they are great for cleaning and are lint free.

I have bought quite a few in the past and I still have some spare.
One type is pink and definitely lint free, ie no fluff of any kind comes off and they are ever so slightly "hard" if you know what I mean. They do a fantastic job.
The other type is blue and has a slight fluff which makes them a bit less pleasant to handle for me.
Trouble is, I have no idea where I bought the pink ones and I've been looking and looking but can't find any like them - pink or not.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
The Tesco value ones are a bit crap imo - they are a lot lot smaller than normal ones and make cleaning a lot harder.
Aldi ones are good. It's not paranoia if they really are after you.0 -
The tescos ones are smaller but work fine and no lintStill TryingGrocery challenge July 2016

Asda Smart-Price cloths are just like Jey cloths I find. Though I do live alone & am not a dirty person, nor is my residence. Never known lint to come off them either tbh. hth:)0

Handy hint for Stainless Steel, a little tiny dab of baby oil on something like a piece of kitchen roll. Works a treat.June £10 A Day Challenge - £0/£150.00June Grocery Challenge - £57.47/£200.000

Aldi sell a pack of different "hardnesses".
They contain a mixture of nylon & polyester fibre and each fibre has a sort of "split end".
Beware of using them on plastic things as any nylon fibres are likely to make tiny scratches that will catch the light.
Nylon scouring pads will even take the surface off glass.
The instructions for washing say Don't boil. Don't Tumble dry & Don't use Fabric Softener.0 -
I rarely do a hot wash (40% is my motto) and so now I know I can't boil microfibre cloths how do I keep them clean? Mine all say need to be washed at 60% or more - and no fabric conditioner. Up to now have added to 60% one at work but that is soon to end. Any ideas? Thanks.0
