Taking that first step is the hardest and most important bit of all, so well done. Grab your statements, paperwork and a coffee, and chat to us in between to make it all seem more fun.....lol!

Hi! Thanks! I'm gonna do just that, I think the main thing is that I keep myself busy and stop jumping in the car and spending in Tesco!

I'm off to hunt out the statements :)

Snaggs, did you buy a treadmill in the end? I know you were talking about it a while back
No, I had one delivered and it was broken so I sent it back. They didn't have any more in stock, and I couldn't find another I liked, so I decided to just use the money I would have spent on going to the gym and using the one there.

I find treadmill running and outdoor running are completely different challenges.

Outdoor running is a huge physical challenge, trying to keep my breathing under control, but the kilometres fly by, and time passes so quickly.

Treadmill running is so much more comfortable, and I rarely need my inhaler, but it's a massive challenge mentally. There's a huge boredom factor, and you know you could just stop whenever you want, because you don't need to worry about still needing to get home somehow!

I much prefer running outside, but I would have given up by now if I'd had to battle my asthma all winter.

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here, can I join in the daily chat with you please? Is everyone looking forward to the weekend? It's my wedding anniversary tomorrow, but because I am a debt free wannabe, I'll be cooking a nice steak for my hubby at home instead of going out to a posh restaurant

I have asthma too, so that's a problem in the winter, then in spring and summer there's the hay fever to contend with. Plus I've got the kids, and DH isnt around during the week. I'm really self conscious and not at all good at doing things on my own (as you probably noticed at weekend :o )

I used to have a manual treadmill many years ago, before I had DH and the kids, and I used to love running on that, with me music on. I've been really wanting a new one, and I think DH would agree. It's just knowing which one really. There's such a huge range of prices
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
