Cheapest way to stay at Holiday Inns - save up to 50%

Just a quick note about how to book Holiday Inn hotels (this includes Intercontinentals, Crowne Plazas, Hotel Indigos and Express by Holiday Inns). If you just get a quote from IHG's website, it will not be the cheapest because they are always running special deals. All these rates have limited availability and some hotels may not run them at all - if not, the website will suggest nearby hotels or other available rates.

Unless you are 100% certain you will make the booking do not book these rates, as they are non-refundable. However, if you do make a booking and can't make it, most hotels will let you move it to another date subject to paying the difference in price, but this is at the hotel's discretion. Apart from Friends and Family, which will work worldwide, the rest of these rates will only work in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

I hope that helps a few people booking hotel rooms - it would be good to hear from employees of similar hotels (Travelodge, Premier Inn, Ibis etc.) on how best to book their hotels .[/QUOTE]

Wow these prices fluctuate. Looked Monday and the hotel I was after was £1500...checked today and it's £2500!!! Also, sometimes the links work and other times is states the hotel is unavailable for that deal?

Is it worth keeping an eye on it or have I blown my luck?

Just had a 4 night stay in the centre of Glasgow for £180 including breakfast. I did 2 x 2for1. Just emailed them in advance that I would like the same room for all 4 nights - no problem, just had to pop down on the 3rd day and get my door card reactivated. No problems. Thankyou for these codes. Without them I would not have been able to afford a trip to Glasgow. With cheap train tickets and free musuems Glasgow was a wonderful treat for me.

All of the HI sites were down yesterday - fixed this morning though. Booked for one night using the 'exclusive rate' link and saved £28 on one night. It says you save on Fri-Sun but I saved for one night on a Thurs.

Hi, Does anyone know if the crowne plaza at manchester central ever comes up on the 2 for 1 offer? We are looking to go 26-28 December and require room for 2 adults and 2 children.
Price I am getting is £100 for the club room per night, is this average?

Just want to add that this thread is the best I have found on moenysavingexpert.co.uk so far. For the third consecutive year I am off to do some Xmas shopping in London. Every time I have used two nights for one in hotels accpeting three persons in one room and I have saved lots of pounds!! Thank you!!
