I think smoking in a works van is against the anti smoking laws (it certainly is in Scotland) as even taxi drivers when not on duty have been prosecuted for smoking in their own cars.

Possibly worth complaining to environmental health as I think its them who police the anti smoking laws.

my home delivery network courier smokes in the van and it makes my parcels smell

I sell underwear, used, as stated but clean - I always state that - but I have been asked if I can sell it unwashed!

I would never send out any clothing item unwashed but I don't iron and I do state if the article is creased.

you're not allowed to sell used underwear on ebay

This is illegal as it counts as a place of work, you should ask the council who to complain to.

I remember years back when out postie smoked in his van... it was grim.
If I got any parcel stinking like that now, I was definitely complain.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
  • I am all for saving money, and some of my maternity clothes were from ebay, but couldn't buy second hand pj's, not everyone wears undies in bed, and def not a swimsuit. Is it just me?

I have bought a bundle of breastfeeding nightys from ebay with full buttons down the front, was really happy due to not being able to find any elsewhere (especially as i'm also in plus size). When i got them i realised one had a reddish brown stain on the front and it freaked me out bad! Washed it about 4 times, tried stain remover and everything...ewwww looks like i bought someones birth nighty! No wonder the seller had a photo of them all neatly folded and only showing the top of the nighties!!
I wish i'd opened a dispute now, rather just chucking the offending nighty away and leaving pos feedback silly me.

There are some right dirty !!!!!!s around don't you think? lol
If google doesn't know it, how should i?

of course everyone would like to receive clean clothes, but surely anything you buy second hand you will wash at least once before wearing anyway (even if it looks spotless) so whats the big deal?

Yeah but no-one wants to handle a stranger's bodily fluids.

I've just sold loads of clothes on eBay and I've spent the last 2 hours checking everything and packing it all up. It's all clean as I washed it before listing, but I get paranoid! I would be horrified if I received dirty clothes so would never send them out myself.

Although I don't iron before sending... probably because I don't iron any clothes anyway. I am anti-ironing! :)
