I recently bought a cardigan which was new and had the tags on and when it arrived it absolutely smelt of cigarette smoke, it was horrible.
I have spoke to DHL who said nothing we can do it's a owner driver.
So she picks it up at 6am and i get it at 11:30, 5 1/2 hrs in a smoke filled van.
I have some paper that came from PCWORLD about November it still smells.0 -
Just wanted to share my story - I bought some trousers from ebay, they had a "womans monthly" stain in them!!!! I was mortified! I did contact seller and she apologised, she was mortified herself, she told me to send them back and gave me a full refund including my delivery costs.0

I always wash stuff, and sometimes iron. I did ruin a dress I was about to list by burning it with the iron though!
I rarely buy used clothing because some people are just skanks! Ruining it for the rest of us.0 -

I have a really sensitive nose when it comes to cig smoke and there is nothing worse, I totally agree it doesn't just "air out" in a day or two either.0 -

That is absolutely rank! Euugh certainly put me off buying anything with a gussett second hand :rotfl:0 -
OMG - you would have to be a real scummer not to wash them first.0

While nowhere near as bad I received an item which had been washed in the strongest smelling washing powder which I personally found quite nauseating - straight into my washing machine (take note Piggles - not everyone may like Chanel No5).0

I send out all my clothes in the condition I'd like to receive them in myself. And if you haven't got time to wash them, it only takes a few seconds to spray them with some febreze or something!
xox~When you wish upon a star~:heart2:0 -
The majority of my clothing is washed however, if its a vintage item or dry clean only garment I will mention that it hasn't been washed in my listing.
I can't say that I've ever received a filthy item of clothing from eBay but I do hate it if it's been doused in perfume.0
