What, for two days!!!?? :eek:0 -
I noticed the OP hails from Crosby, which is just down the road from Southport where I spend a lot of time.
A couple of weeks ago there was a small red car (I noticed because it was parked in my allocated space) on the forecourt outside my flat, with two quite tidily dressed blokes in it. They were there for hours, one kept getting out and going for short walks, and there was a lot of mobile phone activity. When I went out myself later in the day I saw the same car and occupants parked a little further down the street.
I am pretty sure they were doing surveillance, and I have a good idea who they were watching. She lives in the next building and has two small children, and is presumably on benefits as she is always around and brings shopping home at all times of day. Anyway the following weekend I saw her children leave the building with a bloke I had not seen before. I can only assume they suspected she was claiming as a single parent while cohabiting. Of course there was no surveillance at the weekend.
Anyway that's why I think there might be a blitz on in the North West, so the OP just may be right, although if she is not doing anything wrong she has nothing to worry about.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

I didn't realise it was for ALL of two days, I thought he'd just come two days on the trot for a certain time.
I still think it's a bit paranoid to instantly assume he is spying on you though.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

Well, I am easily spooked by things like this anyway but, yes, it would worry me a lot.
Also though, we had an incident a while ago, when a man came up to one of our front windows late at night, while dd was using the computer, and made a rude suggestion to her.
DD had said a few times there was someone stood outside the house, and I saw them the once too, but they had always gone by the time DH got out there.
We don't know if it was the same person or not though.
Freaked me out a bit at the time and I would not hesitate to call the police if I felt someone was snooping about outside my house.0 -
Our old house backed onto the public park.
I once decided to cut the grass, went down to the shed to get the lawnmower and found two young men doing things they ought not be doing in public. In broad daylight too.
They scarpered soon enough, I had the secateurs in one hand and a spade in the other. Dirty little bleeders.0 -
Hmmm.....I understand what you are saying, but I would not be best pleased if someone called the police just because I was sitting in my car!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

God. What a random fact that was. Nothing to do with this thread.
