I think thats more likely to have been the case.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Hope you don't mind me being nosey recovering spendaholic but a friend of mine had palpitations and was diagnosed with "paroxysmal atrial fibrillation" and was told there was no surgical procedure that could help....do you know what they do in this op?0

You say at the end of your post you dont want to confront him as he's "quite elderly"...
..Im sorry but why on earth would you think hes a benefit investigator then?
Is it just me or does anyone else think that the DWP are hardly likely to employ OAPS as fraud snoopers!
I can just see the add now - "Elderly man wanted to spy on possible benefit fraudsters-must be over 75 and be able to use a mobile phone, you will be paid in kind with bucket loads of prune juice and crumpets" :rolleyes:Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona0 -
Don't make fun of people asking advice about this kind of thing. I once had a neighbour who's ex husband employed a guy to do just this, and then he grabbed her kids and took them abroad. Always Always call the cops, that's what they get paid for.0

I think you should call the police. DWP policy is that they always let the local police know when they are doing surveilance.. just incase this kind of thing happens and neighbours are concerned.
On the other hand to put your mind at rest, (I'm assuming you don't work because of your heart problems) I haven't heard of any incidents where surveillance has been conducted on anyone with IB who isn't working. Even though you can work on IB, obviously if you were a hod carrier there would be problems!!Hanny:easter_ba0 -

I am not making fun-im being serious!
I mean yes call the police-i recently had a man in a big suv parking outside by house on a daily basis everyday for around 4 hours in the afternoon just "reading the paper"....I called the police. Turns out he was an alcholic who parked up to get !!!!ed so no one would know
Anyway i stand by my point-if someone is elderly why on earth would you think it was an investigator?..it just doesnt make sense at all. Yes if your worried report it-but the logic of the OP has really confused me.Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne

I suppose being old doesn't stop them doing the job - just look at all the oldies we have had in Government over the years ( not that they did a particularly good job but that's another discussion ) :rolleyes:Damzel_In_Distress wrote: »I am not making fun-im being serious!

Yes your right, but old is one thing .."elderly" is another.Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne

I wish there were more investigators. For every real claimant such as the OP there are some that aren't as valid. The local paper this week detailed one woman who had defrauded the taxpayer for £50,000, and as the lazy **** isn't working the taxpayer will end up paying the fine at £0
-
It depends on the age of the OP who she views as "elderly" doesn't it? When I was 25 I thought anyone over 50 was ancient :rotfl: .
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
