pc wont boot up - possible virus

rik, ive deleted files like you said but am having to go to safe mode to install superantispyware as it wont load on normal.
will do this and then uninstall norton as youve said and post back

ok, cant run superantispyware as im getting the message : the system admin has set policies to prevent this installation.
also cant seem to uninstall norton :mad:

Can you send me IEXPOLES.exe? try uninstalling Norton in normal mode or try the Norton removal tool http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039

have uninstalled norton but cant load in normal to install kaspersky.
can i do this in safe mode.......thanks

Did you use the NORTON UNINSTALL TOOL or just uninstalled as normal?

i used the tool but when i try to install kaspersky on normal mode, pc just keeps on rebooting and when i try on safe mode it says administrator has prevented this ( something like that )

Does the pc keep rebootin in normal mode even if you dont touch anything? (Do nothing if you will)

yes it started doing that yesterday as soon as i click on one of our names ( accounts )- before that it was just freezing

Hi all, i gave in today and took pc to a shop. They have found lots of viruses and restored it to last weekend. I am scanning it atm and its still finding viruses :eek:

Man in shop was impressed with what i'd done already so i forgot to mention that you had guided me through it Did however, tell everyone else what a great bunch you all are :beer: .
