I am thinking of canceling my Sky sports and would be interested in what the Humax pvr boxes are like for recording stuff on. Are they a good alternative to Sky + ?0

I cancelled Sky last month and got a Humax HD Freesat box. The recording facility is perfect and works in a similar way to Sky +. They allow series link etc.0 -
a twin lnb would do but as it doesnt cost much more may as well get a quad.
Only a few twin-output LNBs were ever manufactured for the Sky minidish (years ago) and these were quickly withdrawn by Sky. The result is that NO twin-output LNBs are available for the Sky minidish. Any you see advertised as such are actually designed for a circular dish and will give bad results in rainy weather.I recently cancelled my multiroom subscription with Sky and the box is now basically a freeview box
You mean "FreesatFromSky" box. Please don't call it "Freeview" because this will confuse people and may even result in their wasting money on the wrong box. The term "Freeview" refers to the UK digital terrestrial service which can't be received without an aerial. The term "Freesat" refers to the BBC/ITV satellite service.0
