Best bet then is to cancel and see what happens before jumping in with the £20.

Though in a few months time, you'll probably have to pay £20 for the card when they change the encryption slightly and require new cards, those with ex-subs cards will start to stop working, those with paid for FreeSatFromSkyCards bought in the last couple of years or so will have them replaced FOC.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

One could go around in circles all night with this one. ;)

On a similar theme, if I cancel my sub to Sky, can I still use the recording facility on my Sky+ box, which, incidentally, I bought outright from Sky.

I recently cancelled my multiroom subscription with Sky and the box is now basically a freeview box - there was no charge for the card I just had to leave my existing one in

You'd still have to pay for the recording facility, approx £10 I think.

What's the advantage of a quad and don't you need four cables?

If you have a quad you can use 2 for a HD PVR and one for the old sky box

Thanks. Don't Freesat boxes have a feed-through from the downlead so you can daisy-chain your old Sky box?

I just checked the online manual for the Humax Freesat PVR and it has an LNB output which is a feed through for attaching another satellite box (although it has 2 LNB inputs, but only one feeds though).
