The Sun / Alton Towers Deal (not all it seems!)

We didnt apply for tickets as are never sure when DP can get time off but a friend has given us the £9.50 child entry vouchers so we can go on a day that suits at short notice.
Does anyone know if you have to present anything with these tickets as on the back it states 'voucher entitles one child entry for £9.50 when presented and accompanied by a valid Sun ticket holder'
Does this mean they can only be used on the same day as the 2 free entry vouchers???0 -

I think they can only be used with the Sun free adult tickets

We had a 'pie and mash' combo from one of the counters over by Rita, £5 with a drink I believe, but so nice and filling, and very hot, superb food.
Can also recommend the priority parking, I know this is mse and the aim is not to spend any extra money, but if you are paying £5 to park at AT anyway, in a car park that is miles and a monorail ride away from the entrance, if there is a traffic jam on the way in (regularly!) and a queue for the monorail it can take you 30 mins from driving in to gtting to the ticket booths. Priority is £10 and imho worth it if you want to go on everything (I also always head to Nemesis/Air first because most people start at the other end)
Enjoy people, I can't go again now this year (usually go twice a year) bt thats because we are now expecting our first, yippee!
We went at the weekend at ride close was at 5pm - I asked the staff how come it wasn't 5:45 like the opening day and they said opening day was a one-off.
At the weekend the monorail was broken so we walked, it took 20 minutes (hot sun, heavy child in buggy who'd fallen asleep in the car and didn't want to wake up etc.).
It's usually 30 minutes from monorail queue to ticket booths yes, so if you don't go to alton towers often that's 30 minutes you're not on rides. My little boy likes the monorail and is desperate to go on the strawberry train as he's not been on it yet. we have annual passes so we don't pay £5 parking charge, so for us the express parking is an extra ten not an extra five. I'd say to anyone who doesn't go often that express parking might be worth it unless you have a little one who'd love the monorail. Monorail queues at the end of the day can be more than 30 minutes though and you are packed into the station like a ride queue. if somebody smokes it's awful in there.
nemesis area of the park is usually much quieter than everywhere else, at least before lunchtime. When you come into the park turn left and get on the cable cars, it's one stop but is a looooong walk.
I saw the pie and mash shop (opposite rita) and it looked and smelled delicious!
congratulations by the way
