Please can someone remind me of the details of the hotel deal?
Or point me in the direction of a good code.

We've managed to change ours for this coming Sunday :j
Now, would Alton Towers allow us to take our camping table and chairs (maybe the camping stove) etc and have a bit of a picnic by our car? (obviously as long as we aren't stuck in a concrete jungle of a car park!)
Am thinking from an H&S point of view really with the cooker as we would have the gas. (butane not bad stomachs lol)0 -
Well I'm also waiting for my tickets. It did say they would be sent within 28 days of receipt of the application so they should arrive this week sometime. However, it also staes in the terms and conditions that they won't be held liable for tickets that are lost, damaged or delayed in the post. Fingers crossed they come, and hopefully the tickets will be for days that I can actually go on. A good offer if the tickets fall on the right day.0

Bravo beastie, it isn't worth doing that. Once you've parked your car you either have a long wait for the mono rail or about a 20 minute walk just to thye entrance (And that's if you walk fast)
By going back to your car you'd lose at least an hour of your day and it flies by.
I'd just take a picnic and sit either on the big field by the lake or on the grass by the Charlie rideI can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -

I doubt you'd be able to set up by the car. They park you up in order and very carefully so thre's no wasted spaces. It's be nicer taking your picnic in and eating on the grass somewhere, wouldn't it? Take all disposable stuff so you wont be carrying it round after you've eaten.
I got some today for Sunday 6th Sept, got some a week or 2 ago for Bank Holiday Mon 4th May.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
They pack you tightly into the car park and there are no parent/child spaces. There are grassy areas nearby.
When we stayed in the hotel and couldn't afford to eat there we went out to uttoxeter (I think?) for KFC. There's a mcdonalds nearby too.
There's burger king in alton towers park itself but I think they close early-ish - the park closes at 5.52% tight0 -
Ride queue's closed at 5.45 when we went on opening day? It was advertised as 5pm but was 5.45 when we went in.
We had a 'pie and mash' combo from one of the counters over by Rita, £5 with a drink I believe, but so nice and filling, and very hot, superb food.
Can also recommend the priority parking, I know this is mse and the aim is not to spend any extra money, but if you are paying £5 to park at AT anyway, in a car park that is miles and a monorail ride away from the entrance, if there is a traffic jam on the way in (regularly!) and a queue for the monorail it can take you 30 mins from driving in to gtting to the ticket booths. Priority is £10 and imho worth it if you want to go on everything (I also always head to Nemesis/Air first because most people start at the other end)
Enjoy people2 angels in heaven :A0
