Boots - Points Bonanza Continues... III

I had a really good shop in Boots today!

Machine was offering 300 extra points with the Daniele Ryman range so I thought Id check it out. Stuff was quite expensive (8 quid for the cheapest) BUT they had an offer on saying buy any product from this range and get a free Daniele Ryman Rescue balm worth 8 quid so I bought the cheapest item and took it to the till. The offer did not come off automatically so I enquired and they said the offer ended yesterday but they took it off manually. Making the total £8 for 2 products BUT>>> because I bought two products in effect got 2 x 300 points effectivly paying £2 for 2 posh products.

Then I bought some perfume for my sister with my £150 points balance and the woman's eyes nearly pooped from her head "oh my haven't you done well!" , "oh you know just a few odds and ends "

rofl @ seaniboy! i wasnt asking for any sympathy - just didnt htink injuries caused in search of advantage card points owuld go down too well.

i didnt go up to the retail park AGAIN as i had to meet me gran. who doesnt let me properly browse, i have to grab everything in a hurry i cant just look for stuff, this drives me mad so i just grabbed what i wanted and got out. i have yet again forgotten stuff, BUT my mum has promised i can go to Borders on tuesday which is @ retail park so guess where me is going after i am done in there? yup, retail park boots! i need to, i need to use my turkey and cranberry sandwiches points coupon1

used my £1 off trevor sorbie coupon today though, so not too bad - one less coupon in the purse. all coupons have to be used by xmas ever, so better get a move on *well not the sanitary one as that came direct from the manufacturer, but any boots-branded ones are only valid till 24/12*

oh well never mind, stung me granny for a Large Spiced Hot Choccy for £2.50 @ M+S! ha ha!

Yesterday i noticed only 200 points went on my card for Toni and Guy though I'd bought 3 for 2 and I was hoping for 400. Didn't notice till I got home - had got loads of the pink stuff like Olay so 100 points for each of them. I phoned customer services and after a bit of waffling managed to get 400 points added to my card. 200 for last week and 200 for this. Can't understand why the till gives 100 points on every item on the pink stuff but not 200 each on T and G when originally I was getting 600 points on 3 for 2 t and G.

No I dont know why - think they must have updated their system since I used to get multiple points on T&G. You are not supposed to though - you are only supposed to get one lot of points per transaction.

Its amazing what you find at Boots - they have a bunch of sale items on for kitchen stuff from main page and HBST25 gets you 10% extra off plus its triple pts at the moment.

Must try that code out! Boots.com here I come

Sainsburys are doing Adidas (best I think) and lots of different packs eg, Lynx & Physio gift sets at half price same item from Boots is £8 (...but also 3for2)

There are some vouchers for 150 points for the Boots Complete range. These are reasonably priced anyway but currently have 25% off. bought some Boots Complete Cleansers so £1.99 with 25% off £1.49 voucher for 150 points means free for me. ;D Also collected my free sample of Clinique DD gel and my free clairol hair dye that finally arrived. Also bought mascara and eyeliner from No7 and cos spent £15 got free gift worth £20 (allegedly) ;D

rangers on wedsnesday night i see *SORRY seaniboy!* so me thinks the food n drink aisle @ retail park's gonna get a bit trashed on tuesday so me can stash stuff away for weds, as eastgate wont have it and wont be @ retail park with tranport, so no falling on bum! he he, twice.

i trekked the west end for ages yesterday trying to find an advantage card machine that worked and they had all been sealed up with that 'sorry not in use' sign across the slot, i started to get really annoyed and convinced it was all a big conspiracy so i decided to go and try n turn one of them on anyway, as i approached the machine i merely removed the sign from the slot, easy enough stuck my card in got my vouchers WORKED FINE ???

i said in a earlier post i saw the assistant put the out of order sign on and when asked why as it appeared to working she said it was because they were busy and not got enough staff in ... half an hour later she took it off again... if the machine is switched on and the pink sign is on it i will do as you have done and give it a try ..
