The April 2009 Bankruptcy Club

Finally OR has contacted me, apparently I dont warrant an interview of any kond, but might have been nice to ask him a few things though.
Still getting harrassed by creditors, one of them just wont get off the phone and if I hang up she just presses redial constantly, she is so rude and patronising it is very difficult not to let it get me stressed out. I tell her I am bankrupt and request she does not call back and say good bye and hang up and then before I even have chance to put the receiver down it rings again. Surely this cant be legalBankrupt 15/04/09 Discharged 28/10/09

Hi Jennie, when this lady persists ask her for her full name and position in the company and then ask for her supervisors name and tell her you intend to make a full complaint about her personal harassment of you to the company chief executive and will also make a complaint to Ofcom personally mentioning her and that you are going to do everything in your power to make her life a misery like she has done to you and you will persecute and harass her until she suffers the consequences of her behaviour in harassing you. Tell her you are going to try and get her to face disciplinary action over her behaviour which is out of order. It is personal harassment as it sounds like she is taking delight in tormenting you. Give her name to the OR as the one who is personally harassing you.
I hate people like her! Does it show lol!BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -
Hi - a bit late but wondered if we could join the April club too?
Me and my hubby, Chris, went BR on the 30th April. On the run up to the day I was terrified, but the day itself really was nowhere near as bad as we were expecting.
My only regret is not realising sooner that this forum even existed. Hindsight is a great thing we know, but had we known you guys were here we wouldn't have paid £1300 to a company to 'assist us through the process' - which basically meant I had to chase them every day to fill in forms that I now know I could have completed myself.
Never mind, onwards and upwards
Looking forward to getting to know you all better

Hi Lisa, you and your hubby are very welcome to join. Welcome to the April club. It is always the run up to the BR which is the worst, court is usually never as bad as you think it is going to be. I wish you had found this forum sooner too but you do still have your fresh start and life can only get better for you now that you are debt free. Take care.

Have just discovered that the reason I am STILL getting calls from creditors is because the OR did not issue letters until 26th May, I went BR on 15 April.
I have been getting threatening phone calls and letters, threats of court action and bailiffs and the OR has just been sitting on his hands.
Hopefully now I will start to get some peace if letters have now been sent, just hope it doesnt take too long to filter through to the collection agencies the debts have now been passed over to.Bankrupt 15/04/09 Discharged 28/10/09

Hi Jennie, sorry you're having a hard time at the moment. A lot of ORs are very busy at the moment, I'm sure the delay in sending out letters was not intentional simply a backlog. Hopefully now you'll start to get some peace.2019 MFW No. 74 £13700/£30000 (45.66%)

Hi all
A little late but can we join the club? My partner and I went BR on the 6th and it's been a rollercoaster. Had OR interview but no info since then, feel like we're in the dark a little etc.
Best of luck to you all.
