    Hi Aprils, :j

I did it!!! It was all easy and straight forward! Have written account of the day in my diary thread, for those of you who are interested.

As a summary I can say that everybody was friendy, professional and it took about 5 to 10 minutes. I can assure you that the court day is not scary at all, so please do not worry about it.

My OR spoke to me on phone for 2 minutes, he was friendly and helpful too!

Thank you for thinking of me, am so glad I did it and really feel it was the right decision.:D

yes it is scary! but it is unlikely anyone in the UK will die I believe. If someone does die from it, sadly it is likely to be a person with a weakened immune system already who can't fight it off as easily as the ones who have already been infected in the UK. But I am trying not to worry too much. All I can think of is that it means Doctors offices are going to be so busy, they can't afford to ignore anyone who phone up ill with flu symptoms.

Keep positive and all will be well.

    Yes Donna,

you are right, will not help a bit to panic about it, so best to focus on other things. It is so easy to get sucked into it, it's on the telly all the time... Lol, I better turn the TV off, I think! Just wonder how there was NO swine flu last week... and now it is everywhere:eek:!!!!

STILL not heard from OR. It is really affecting my health now, was told BR would be a staightforward process but find I am worrying more now than I was before.

Will they take my car, what will happen to new bank account, been told by my creditors that they will continue to put penalties on the accounts and as this is new debt I am liable for paying these amounts, car needs repairs but dont dare put in garage as dont know if i will be made to make any payemnts by OR and so might need money for that, getting bailiff letters now even though have told them about BR as they have not heard from OR they dont take any notice.

Never had nasty letters and phone calls before BR as always robbed one debt to pay another as this could not go on much longer as was hitting limits i opted for BR, but now they are not geting paid they are fierce and really rude.

Never been afraid to answer the phone or open the mail before - now I am all the time, they even ring me at work.

Could all be stopped if only OR would call

Hi Jennie, I was the same, I didn't hear anything from my OR for ages so in the end I plucked up the courage to give them a call. Turned out that they had sent me paperwork etc but I never received it. Just try giving them a quick call to set your mind at rest and see what they say. My OR office were really busy and probably still are so that might be why it is taking a while too.

Please don't worry (easier said than done I know) about the debt letters and the bailiffs. They cannot do anything now that you are bankrupt. If Bailiffs turn up, don't open any doors or windows, show them your bankruptcy order through the window accompanied perhaps by some hand signals telling them to get lost! ;)

Re calling you at work, you must insist that they stop ringing you there and if necessary get your boss or someone to tell them that you are not allowed personal calls at work.

Just take the view that you are now safe because you are BR and tell them that you are happy for them to waste their time and money in trying to recover debts which you are now no longer liable for.

And just don't bother opening the mail if you know it is just another stupid letter, save them up to have a nice big bonfire if you like? Or you could actually send them onto your OR every time you receive a letter to let them know you are being harassed.

Please don't get stressed, it will all work out and the letters and calls will stop.

    Big hugs to you.

    Donna :D

Just joking about the the hand signals btw! :o:p:D

your kind words are much appreciated although people being nice tends to make me well up at the moment.

I have my office to myself on fridays so if not heard by then i will call them again, have called twice now and they just tell me the OR is not in but they will get him to call me later.
