Nothing wrong with theHyundai Coupe or Skoda as for the Seat since when has that had a hight class image i would put it in the same league as the two i have mentioned.
The Hyundia comes with a 5 year warrenty and more standard toys than you ever need.
But then if you are thinking about a BMW that says it all about what you all know about cars over priced and you have to be sad and short of something to drive one!!:rotfl:And since when has a Mondeo been cool??

Except that at 5'11" I was 2" too tall to sit in it:o .

Calculated as a average monthly expense over the period of use a 2005 BMW 320d is around about £0-£35 per month more expensive that an equivalent spec. Ford Mondeo / VX Vectra due to savage depreciation on the Ford/VX. It's also faster, better to drive, more refined, better interior material quality and so on.
What are people like me supposed to be short of?
An excel spreadsheet and the ability to use to use it to figure out what a car really costs isn't something I'm short of :p;)

You have obviously been watching too much of that moron Clarkson, he wouldn't know a good car if one ran him over.

I'm guessing your the one who complains to the BBC about him each week ;)

I don't always agree with him on cars. He likes the VW and beemers, and I can't stand aston martins...

    ..

No not me, waste of time, anyone with an ounce of intelligence knows that he is a total plonker.

The 50 odd thousand people who signed a petition for him to be PM would argue otherwise! I consider myself to be pretty intelligent, and find him amusing and entertaining. One of the few people in the world who isn't afraid to stick 2 fingers up at the PC brigade, and for that reason alone, even if I don't always agree with his opinions, is why he should be considered a hero.

If cool means a rare site on the road you have to figure out what is going to make it a rare site on the road.
I can think of three things
    1. It's rubbish so no one buys it
    2. It's expensive not too many people can afford to buy it or run it
    3. It's very old, a bit of a classic, so not many around any more

Not sure how your going to get something good and cool on the budget the OP has.

Old MX5 may be, is a 2 seater OK?

We're in danger of going off the subject here!

Remember I am looking for a cool "SMALL" car.

Took a quick look at the Mazda 3 on Autotrader - good value, good spec, but Very dull to look at - sorry not for me.

Could a Fiat Punto or Bravo ever be considered cool? The new 500 is just too small, but I quite like the look of the other 2!

Fiat 500 is definitely cool, as is the suzuki swift (new shape!). No where near as many on the roads as the mini / corsa / punto, but much better imo. I've driven the abarth 500 - absolute hoot but was a bit too small for me.

Just proves how dim his followers are, to be PM, you need more than a petition.:rotfl:
