Is there such a thing as a "cool" small car

A good car is not neccessarily a cool car. An Alfa romeo Brera is a pretty awful car to drive, but I'd swap my left bollock for one. The skoda is a great car, but about as cool as my nan.

Honda Civic (or CRX) Vtec's are cool (not the newer ones though). Great fun to drive and reliable

Agree. Also, don't buy an RX-8 until you've tried to reverse park it, visibility is poor.

Mazda 3 2.0 Sport, older ones just in budget.
Ford Focus underpinnings which is a good thing, means it's a hoot to drive, engines are all Mazda, which together with an interesting raspy exhaust note and decent styling(?) (dash board a bit like the RX8) should tick the "is it cool?" box.

Nothing wrong with theHyundai Coupe or Skoda as for the Seat since when has that had a hight class image i would put it in the same league as the two i have mentioned.
The Hyundia comes with a 5 year warrenty and more standard toys than you ever need.
But then if you are thinking about a BMW that says it all about what you all know about cars over priced and you have to be sad and short of something to drive one!!:rotfl:And since when has a Mondeo been cool??

IMO, for a car to be considered 'cool', it should be a rare sight on the roads for a start. If the number 1 reason for buying the car is for its reliability, then I cannot class it as cool (which rules out BMW esp the 3 series, volkswagen - though the new scirocco has potential, audi). Also, some manufacturers cannot produce a cool car, no matter how good it is... esp skoda, vauxhall, peugeot, citroen....
